The Rams have started reducing their roster to 80 by waiving three players.

Rams waive 3 players, including QB Devlin Hodges
The Rams waived Raymond Calais (injured), Paris Ford and Devlin Hodges on Monday, one day before the 80-man roster deadline.
I guess Devlin Hodges couldn't quack it.
No surprises so far all though hopefully Perkins doesn't get knocked out of final preseason game. And while I didn't ever expect Ford to make the team I thought he'd be less unimpressive.

So who goes in at QB if Perkins comes up gimpy?

Well re-sign Adam Carriker for the weekend since he played high school QB.
They might assume Wolford could be emergency QB if needed.
Also cutting Hodges now, they have clarity in regards to if he clears waivers or not. Thus they then know if Perkins is claimed they have Hodges to fall back on for a 3rd QB on the PS.

On August 6th it was reported Rams backup quarterback John Wolford is expected to miss up to two weeks because of appendicitis.
I would think that as of today over two weeks ago by now or more, John is warming up to be the emergency QB in this last week of preseason.
Looks like I got two right that broken clock line has to come in to play here. And I’d wager Wolford will dress but not play at Denver.
Unfortunately there are a bunch of candidates that are going to get cut that are on the bubble and honestly because so many older more seasoned players are on the team some really good talent may fall through the cracks - my guess 5 or so players in the final cuts.
If Perkins misses any game time they'll just direct snap to the RBs. McVay has that shit in the offense we saw in in the playoffs last year. They'll break it out.
