That is the one benefit to lost seasons like this one.
You are forced to play young guys that weren't getting much action.
Copeland has proven that he can be a regular part of the DL rotation. Im hoping Brown does the same over the next few games.
With Baker throwing them the ball the young WRs are already starting to step up in Tutu and Skow.
The more I think about it I agree with getting Thomas in at G over Skura.
As Ive said Id resign Skura to a cheap vet deal to keep as a vet depth guy inside, but, lets see what Thomas can do.

I agree about Thomas and Skura

Skura is better than Evans but that is not saying much

Skura is a keeper for depth. I would mind seeing Ty come back for another year too as depth. He is certainly serviceable.

At least you had a first round pick as a backup. The Rams two backups combined don’t make a fully legit NFL backup QB

No idea, but hopefully he decides before Mayfield leaves. Mayfield isn’t great but he’s miles better than Perkins and Mayfield. I hope Stafford comes back.

Yes, you are likely correct. Also, Stafford didn’t throw in preseason. He hadn’t built any chemistry with Allen Robinson. Henderson and Akers were apparently injured until late in camp and KW was injured in preseason.

So the QB, the #2 receiver and all three RBs were not firing on all cylinders on the first week of the season.

I picked the Rams before the season started to win the division. This year it’s weird how the Rams, Packers, Colts, Steelers, Raiders, Cardinals and Bucs are all awful. I believe all these teams but the Colts made the playoffs last year.

Player Bio
Murchison started his collegiate career at Louisburg College, about two hours north of his home in Elizabethtown, North Carolina. He was an honorable mention junior college All-American and a top-50 JUCO recruit after his second year at Louisburg (17.5 TFL, 5.5 sacks). Murchison redshirted his first season with the Wolfpack and then earned the team's Defensive Lineman of the Year award as a 13-game starter in 2018 (34 tackles, eight for loss, four sacks, one interception, two pass breakups). He stepped up his game as a senior, garnering second-team All-ACC honors after leading his team with 12 tackles for loss and seven sacks (48 total tackles, two pass breakups in 12 starts).

Overview
Early into his evaluation, it's hard to get past the tight lower body that restricts his upfield and lateral strides with his feet barely leaving the ground. As the tape rolls on, it's impossible not to notice his motor and that he's always around the ball and rarely on the ground. Murchison has the ability to battle through blocks and come out well-oriented and ready to make plays. He's quick to process and respond but doesn't have great closing burst and lateral agility. He thrives in smaller spaces with less ground to cover and should become a good rotational three-technique for a 4-3 defense.

IMO Murchison looks to be an upgrade over Brown right now. Or they might be thinking of keeping Gaines at 3T so Murchison could be in rotation with Brown. Brown was getting pushed around by the Raiders so this isn't a surprise. It wouldn't surprise me if they drafted another DT. Brown's technique was spotty he needs work and isn't ready to start this year.

Hoecht can also play 3T in rotation with AD next year. I think they will draft an edge in the second round. Players like Jared Verse out of Florida State. Good length and explosive first step with excellent speed and quickness. Still needs polish so it probably drops him into the 2nd round.

I think they will sit AD out the rest of this year.
