so after watching a few videos the last few weeks the narrative has once again been set by the talking heads.

2016 - bust

2017 preseason - bust

2017 - mcvay makes it easy for him to complete passes

2017 after mideseason - goff is mcvay's puppet

2018 - still the puppet

2019 - bad qb who got overpaid

2020 - can't trust him, can't make plays to win a game, mcvay has to manage him, rams can't win superbowl because of him

these talking heads man, utterly useless.

Yeah, some of these talking head morons were predicting the Rams would finish with 4-6 wins and in the division cellar.

Who needs ‘em? Lol.

finally, ryan clark shows some love, kind of, to the rams. the other two, trash.

One thing re: his comments on that vid though... McVay hasn't suddenly realized he needs to provide Goff with a run game. That's some BS. The problem is McVay didn't have the running back nor the OL to produce the run game he needs in this offense.

It's an important distinction IMO. McVay knows about the importance of the run game. But what he won't do is keep calling it when he thinks it has a low chance of success. He'll go to the pass. And it's hard to argue with his "feel" on this, I mean lot of fans will but his record speaks for itself.

And IF he has that RB in Akers... We're about to see some shit. :beer2:

Yea these talking heads are really entertainers. It's Hybrid entertainer/Fantasy Football enthusiast. Their knowledge of the game beyond superficial statements and what can be gleaned from highlights is left wanting, big time.

That comment about Mcvay suddenly realizing he needed a run game was ignorant. The fact is, when Mcvay faces a top running defense such as the Bucs or Chicago, Mcvay will lean on the pass game. That is really what makes this team potent. We have a coach that is flexible and doesn't try to bang his head against the wall trying something other teams failed at. Even vs the Pats, people should realize they have deficiencies in run defense but are REALLY good vs the pass, so Mcvay went run heavy.

It's clear from the game tape and also Mcvays post game statements that Akers is maturing in the scheme. Mcvay mentioned how young Akers still is and that it just has taken him longer to learn the system. Combine that with the early rib injury.

Best case scenario our run game starts to explode with Akers and opens the pass game even more. We will see. The Bucs and or Saints in the postseason would be the real tests.

RC gives the Rams tons of love... When they deserve it. He was all over that 2018 team. Loved them from the start of preseason. He is actually one of my favorite talking heads. Dude knows him some football and is funny af at times.

That's a vary favorable made-up studio picture of Kay there. It would appear to be a landslide on that comparison post, but with an asterisk that it's an unfavorable shot of Mina.

I was very high on Kay before covid. Then I saw some recent shows where she looked very sickly and thinned out and just...different. Was wondering if there was work done to that nearly flawless face that first attracted me. Why? I thought. Mina looks fab on those other pics. They are both attractive obviously, and it's like Jim Brown said: "is a rose prettier than a daisy?" A lot of this argument looks like individual perspective on 2 different looks. Wouldn't kick either out. (I need to compare feet for the tie-breaker and I'll get back to you ).
