Gonna be at a MNF watch party tonight so not gonna be online to gripe with you dudes about every idiotic ref call. Enjoy the game boys and hopefully we'll be 1-0 regardless of how things go. (y)

Good lord, 8 hours to go.

I agree with the above that its been a long time since I was this excited about a season to start.

I live 45 minutes away from where they are playing tonight and kills me that I know its not wise to watch a game in that hole. God speed to those that are.

My wife has to work tonight but just in case she hid all the sharp objects.

Look forward to sharing the game with some of you and all the comments tonight.

Good lord it's still 8 hours to go!!!

GO RAMS!!!

I'm hoping for better luck streaming the game. Yesterday was not good. Kept getting cut off ask me to register.hahaha
Couldn't get Buzzstream either which was good last year. Wonder if game is on ESPN2 if Jets take too long to lose. Wish I had ESPN.

Yup 8 hours. Back to work a little later than home before 8 PM. Could be a little nap coming.

Still not sure what the Raiders have. Gruden could do anything on as on offense. I expect run but, he could start off passing first to set up the run. I don't think they stop the Rams offense. Go Rams!!!!!!

I would try to get Donald matched up with rookie LT Kolton Miller on obvious passing downs. Miller is long, but he was weak in college. He didn't have the powerful base to slow down good power rushers. With Donald's power, explosion, and leverage advantage, I think he could push Miller around with ease.

This is the matchup I'm hoping for too - not the nicest D-line for him to kick off his pro career on :)

It's Game Day!

The GDT is a live thread tradition here at ROD.

While we all get fired up watching the game, please remember one of our core principles; we always aim to show respect for our team.

Despite the emotional highs and lows watching a game, we will moderate this thread with that in mind, however please refrain from name calling. This applies to players, the Rams organization, and others.

This is our team. Win or lose. Good days and bad.

Go Rams!

So if the Rams give up a field goal in the first quarter its probably to early to say "Welp, this game is over!"?

How can we lose?

Turnovers — any team can lose if they are careless with the football

Penalties — can’t give them 5 downs, free plays, huge unearned chunks of yardage. Can’t kill our own drives with 1st and 15, 1st and 20 starts.

Big plays — we don’t need to be trying to make sports center and giving up long TDs in the process. Game is already on national TV - just complete your assignments.

I'm ready for it. Know for sure my eyes are focused on the Ram LB corps because I don't have a good feel on them good or bad. According to the depth chart, these are the starters:

Longacre - Will
Littleton - ILB
Barron - ILB
Ebukam - OLB

I gotta know what this crew can do!

Have the Horns spanked the Raiders yet?
No, but it is the fate of all those who wish to get in the way of the Rams quest of capturing their fate and winning that ever heralded Lombardi Trophy. A fate that can't be stopped. Oh I say doomed are all those who wish to oppose and challenge vainly the mighty Rams and their destiny.

Trivia Moment:

The Rams have lost 5 straight MNF games since 2010. That's right, 0-5, including a 28-0 blowout lost to those sick pups 49ers. We need a huge win tonight!

Worst we can finish the night is tied for the lead in the NFC West.

I will be watching both Ebukam and Easely to see who can generate consistent pressure.

Ok I had the perfect plan, go to bed early wake up at 4 am and be able to roll into work after the game

Of course I already feel that excitement and anticipitation is gonna ruin my great plan …

I haven't felt this excited since … well last year's opener
