Id assume he means actually giving him reps and not just being a camp leg. plus hes a kicker not a punter so willing to let him punt to is pretty nice of them
He had a nice rookie year as a kicker for the Browns but doesn't have a strong leg. That's why he's basically stuck waiting on an injury before he gets back into the NFL. The Rams are giving him a chance to work on his punting to give him a better chance of finding a job.
