Why he continues to go at the receiver Alexander is covering, one of the best CBs in football, is beyond me. BUT! It doesn't surprise me that Rypien makes moronic decisions considering the guy he has calling the plays today. McVay masterclass.

Hoecht should always rush the passer and never ever ever ever ever cover receivers downfield
An OLB in a 3-4 generally covers people. Hoecht should never be an OLB but then that's been said even though a lot of ROD wanted him there.

It doesn’t help that Avila is having a rookie day and Noteboom is having a Noteboom day… but Rypien… I’m shocked. It never occurred to me that under McVay that we’d have a QB play this poorly…
