Well we need to definitely get better at the linebacker position. Hate to say it but I also wouldn't necessarily argue with upgrading the running back position if the right player falls to us in the draft for that. Not saying that would necessarily happen but I wouldn't cry about it either. As much as I really like Kyren Williams, his ball security issues are a huge issue. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that's going to affect the type of contract he gets. Add in another weapon on offense in terms of WR or TE.

He really did. Screwed the pooch. But we gave the Eagles a chance to catch their breath instead of keeping our cleats on their throats. The hurry up worked all of the last two drives. And we went away from it when it mattered the most. McVay needs to answer for that.
McVay: “But why would you want to do something different when you can keep beating your head against a brick wall doing the same thing over and over again hoping for a different outcome?”

I don’t see Hurts winning a SB this year the way we hurt him. He looks messed up. I bet he needs surgery when their season ends

I don't want to shit on McVay because our roster wasn't great this year. The fact that we got as far as we did and should have won this one with better execution is a testament to his coaching abilities. But yeah, I don't know if he or Stafford made the decision to huddle in the redzone, but it was a bad one. We were rolling, they were gassed, and we gave them a breather.

This! Don't know what that call was
Nobody knows because Limmer didn't bother blocking Carter. For all we know, he dialed up a TD pass, but Limmer shit the bed. That's the problem with rookies. They make mistakes.

I get that but IMO run for the 1st down. We had time. That's the risk on a pass.

We did last year
Corum isn't good enough to compete with Williams. Also he got hurt almost immediately as the Rams started working him in. RBs are in every draft mid to late. It's readily available, so just burn one of those picks on a back they want.

I'd go after the U Miami kid, who is physical. Of course McVay probably doesn't want a physical back. Scattebo same though he'll go a bit earlier, though he seems to have some pass game threat to him as well so maybe McVay would consider him.

We need to do something at WR too
Agreed. I'd go WR in FA so that's one of the key pieces I referred to. Rams have not been able to draft anyone outside of McVay's specialty, which is the big, smart, route runner types. He needs help bringing in the X type to round out the attack.

Maybe trade up for Warren or Loveland?
I would not trade up, just sit there and wait for best dude who falls to us. And if it's not a position we need then move down, add a pick, and take a fucking TE or CB, maybe DL.

I want heavy defense, but the TE threat has to be added in the draft too.

They huddled after the false start. If that doesnt happen they just keep going.

Or they shoot the gap, stone Williams in the backfield, and we still fail to pickup the fourth down as he try to hustle with the running clock.

They huddled before the false start. I remember because I was already pissed before Dotson jumped.

Yes that is a possibility but run losses are rarely for as many yards as sacks. So instead of 4th & 11 maybe you have 4th and 4. Big difference.

That's all fine and dandy, but we were killing them with our passing game that drive and the prior drive. It's easy to second-guess the decision there because it didn't pan out. If Staff hit a guy for a TD or catch near the goal-line, we're celebrating a win. Limmer fucked his assignment up. That's how it goes sometimes.
