Wife and I are coming up on 37 years married, 40 years together and even more as friends before that.

She’s a Rams fan as well and doesn’t like the 9ers (for several reasons). She’s an absolute keeper, I won the lottery with her and while I dunno how many parallel universes there are in the multiverse, I know I’m living in the best one cuz we’re married in this one.
I have been blessed and married up as well, I always tell people that: "Marry up, it beats the alternative." Actually met my wife at a football party when I was on leave with the Air Force. It will be 34 years come September as she will always be my September Morn.

The Offensive Line will be interesting in this game. I am looking for guys that can contribute. I am betting if Quessenberry plays, it is only a few snaps, however, I want to see the rookie Trost and where he plays. A.J. Arcuri might start at LT with Trost at RT and I hope we see Beaux Limmer at Center and not Guard because IMO, that is the position he struggles at.

Austin Blaske could showcase something and @So Ram and I have been campaigning to see more of Wyatt Bowles, so I expect him at Guard too. RT Bryce Henderson is a biggin at almost 6'8, but really struggled last season in Pass Protection at Vanderbilt, so I expect maybe 4th quarter snaps for him.

I will not be bored with this game. Got 2 QBs to watch. Got a lot of young players to watch. The TEs, RBs, DBs and Daniels. It's Rams football. Finally!
Never boring IMO, like to look at the younger players to see if they have something to add or even someone pushing for the roster. Anxious to look at the special teams under the new Coach Bubba Ventrone as to coverage and the return game.

Again my focus will be OL, Secondary & RB, maybe and actual Jarquez Hunter sighting plus we can to see if @Memento summer crush RB Dean Connors get his chance or the guy I liked last year in Jordan Waters.

Puka and TA won't see playing time. That leaves a lot of reps up for graps. Reports that Daniels had a very good training camp I imagine he will get his fair share. Coaches will be looking at how he picks up the play calling and his blocking. Daniels may not have to wait long to see some regular season PT. He is older with 6 years of college football experience.

It will be interesing to see if they use 13P with the bottom half of the current TE room the only ones expected to play.

  • Max Klare (Rookie)
  • Mark Redman (Practice squad consideration)
  • Dan Villari (Practice squad consideration)
  • Rohan Jones (Practice squad consideration) [1, 2, 3]
Doubt we see much 13. Gotta save that for the regular season

My only concern is the pocket protection for Bennett & Simpson. We’re at a disadvantage throughout since we have no starters and most backups not playing - that’s one reason we usually lose preseason games and look so bad. Which is fine - I agree with the philosophy. But now we have a young QB (TS) that I want to make sure he doesn’t get mauled by some backup Chief going against a 3-4th backup OL.

Yeah when it comes to a McVay preseason you gotta look at these games from the scrimmage perspective. Try to pick out the good things. And have the Rams roster open for those "who the hell is that dude" moments. :laugh2:

They won't show anything new. They still need to see which one they keep on the PS. I'm not sure how much they use it but, it has become a big part of their offense. We will see over next few games. Klare will get the most looks.

i may be one of the very few guys on this site that has quite a bit of confidence in stet benn...

he made mistakes last year in preseason action but also made things happen...

not too many teams have a step in and perform great backup...

some of us might need to lower the bar a little...

JG is probably a little better than stett, but i don't think it's that wide of a margin...

yes i would rather JG, but im not gonna say stetson cant pull out a few games if needed...

don't forget, we now have a defense that could probably push nearly anyone to victory...

i'll never forget what my highschool football coach said at one of the first team meetings/practices...

"we are gonna stress good defense because if they cant score we cant lose...

I think so too, but want to see more and this is his preseason to show it.

With no starters playing it’s not our best team around him. Same with TY. Preseason is a tricky evaluation that way.

i think it was the same deal last year CGI...

stet was playing with the scrubs, and against the other guys scrubs..

so we might get to see some second stringer action this year, which might be telling...

so buckle up! we're only hours away from getting our questions answered, hopefully...
