Looking better on this drive, but...
My biggest worry on Goff isn't that he's a system qb, but like another poster mentioned, he's not always great when pressured. Those truly elite qbs don't win ever game obviously, but they make some great plays in big games. Goff did it against KC, but he couldn't pull it off against Atl in the playoffs; he looked basically average in that game. He couldn't move the ball late against NO, and he's looked bad tonight, regressed on that last series to 2016 Goff. And yes, the protection and play calling have been subpar tonight compared to most of our games. I just hope he's not going to be one of those Matt Staffold or Andy Dalton types, with tons of yards, but who can't reach that truly elite, clutch level.
Hopefully those fears are totally unfounded...
