Should be a close game, but Deebo will catch and run his way all over our twelve yard zone cushions. Im calling 12/150 minimum for him. Hope our offense comes out sharper and we score early.
Now that you brought this up, remember that clown announcer getting so excited last week because Hollywood Brown had so many catches and yards receiving? The Rams were giving him those yards. I think he was 14 catches for 140 yards. That's practically the cushion they gave him on every play. That announcer acted like it was a great achievement.

ah yes....99'ers week....looking forward to the usual OPI on their pansy slant game...the numerous illegal cheap blocks in the back by Shittle in their run game....and who can forget all the late cheap shots from their dirtbag LB's and DB's?

I will never get over the glory of beating their asses in the NFC championship game last year. But this year, at their home field, when we are already leading the division... I would not be surprised if the Rams lose. That said, there is nothing more I'd like to see than a beatdown in their home stadium. Not only would that put an end to this BS about the niners win streak (now it's only a "regular season win streak" -lol), but it would also put them at 1-3 and 2 games behind us, and might also derail their season after 4 games and put them into full-blown meltdown mode. Go Rams!

Yeah we survived two losses to them last season and won it all so it's hard to act like this game is must-win. But I am sure McVay is hell bent on getting this win. It would put the 9ers at 1-3 and turn up the pressure on rat boy. We'd be sitting real nice at 3-1.

What will piss me off is if they bully us on Sunday. This team has changed in part due to the 9ers, and teams that provide that physical threat to us, as it has always been McVay's weakness. That's the best way to beat his teams. We have gone to a defense that has 2 real ILBs and a front that can mix it up and two gap if they need to, and the WR group has grown in both size and physicality in just a couple short years.

I think the final piece of that is the run game. No idea how it's going to look on Sunday but hopefully we can run the ball without putting the offense behind the chains every time it's called. Between the 9ers ypc allowed and the state of the Rams run game there is no reason to think we'll run it well, but the personnel change with Jackson next to Hav gives me some hope. Also Shelton is better I think in the run game. So maybe. Just maybe.

Corners need to play closer and not give up wide open screens to Deebo. Shanahan will call that play all day.

It’s gonna be a low scoring game. The Rams aren’t gonna risk giving up a cheap big play.
It’s gonna be way harder for the 9ers to run their offense against this defense.. especially with a bad Oline.
I think we see more 3rd and longs and more blitzes and pressure because the front doesn’t have to worry about contain so much.

Offense is where the bigger challenge is.

Yeah Shanny will definitely test our DBs outside the hash with Deebo. Morris needs to have the mentality of the secondary in a different place this week.

Vs SF you need to take away the quick outlets. If we don't do that it will look like last season game one. Because we probably struggle to score vs their defense as is typical.

The 2 announcers were all in on the Cards & talked positively about them the entire game.

Does seem to me that it's rare that the Rams get an unbias crew calling their games.

I will have to admit one both of them were highly impressed with #18.

I will repeat what I said initially and got a "not sure" reply from a rook on the forum lol

-The whiners run game is weak this time around and no Williams through in Wagner and Earnest that a decent recipe for shutting down the run and maybe controlling Kittle.

-Then you have Deblow and I'd have to use Jalen to Blanket him screw star position. That said where I get worriis Ayiuk and Jennings who plays like Calvin Johnson against us we will need someone to step up maybe double Ayiuk not that he requires it normally but with rooks it may be necessary. Rochelle if he can play on Jennings would be ideal size wise speed etc. These aren't the secondary scrub turdnal receivers.

-My concern is actually with the offense and the whiners defense our o-line needs to hold up and our timing and run game needs to improve. Have to play virtually mistake free as there rush is lethal and this is where our line can take a stand.

-Since I expect a pack of a rushing game from the whiners do not and I mean do not give them thos huge cushions especially in short yardage or it become literally an extension of the run game and it plays right into Jimmy's strengths.

Our Offense vs their Defense I think is where this game will be critical and probably decided as broad as it sounds see reasons above.

Yeah sometimes it feels like the announcers think the Rams are going to run away with the game so it becomes a "how does this underdog overcome the Rams" type thing. Very irritating.

Though I did laugh every time they went on about Skow, imagining the Cards fans ripping their hair out and gnashing their teeth over it. You know that shit got under their skin. :laugh3:

Wouldn’t shortening the zone make pass plays take longer to evolve, with receivers trying to get past DBs, thus allowing more pressure on the QB?

If the Rams stop the run against the Niners and take advantage of their inexperienced interior Oline I’d say pressuring Jimmy G would be a good strategy. I can’t help but think the deep zone will do much after a good YAC team with guys like Kittle and Samuel catching passes.

Up until the historic playoff run last year, the Rams have usually let me down in these big, prime-time games. Just when I thought (and hoped) for a "statement" game on national TV, the team always let me down. I think the last big-time, national game was when the Gurley-led Rams whipped the seahawks in Seattle and the 12th man was gone by halftime (lol).

This time though, it feels different. The Rams seem to face adversity very well these days, and with they depleted secondary and other issues with injuries and such, I am hoping for a big Rams win. I don't care what the score is as long as the Rams win and those bastids in the stands have to shut the F up and go home cryin. Go Rams!
