This is for you OS... :beer2:

Did you guys really think we were gonna run the table after losing our LT who was playing at an elite level? C'mon man. Would you have been happier if we lost to Tampa but beat the crap out of the Whiners? Well me too. But it didn't go down that way.

We're gonna get Whit back. We still have a fine defense. The Rams do have a couple young players who could figure things out down the stretch and give them a boost in Akers and Jefferson. And again we're 7-4 and in the playoff and division lead hunt.

Can I get a Kumbaya up in here????

I didn't think we'd run the table ... but then again, I didn't think we'd lose again to a beat up, Mullens-led 49er team. And I'm not buying the "losing Whit" theory, because Boom, while not Whit, is way down on the list of reasons we lost yesterday.

We’re gonna make the playoffs than it’s literally a crap shoot like any other year. Who matches up well against who, what team is hot in the playoffs. Baltimore looked unstoppable last year until they ran into Tennessee. Point being, even the juggernauts during the regular season don’t always dominate the playoffs. What the rams seem to finally have as a franchise is stability to compete for the playoffs year in and out which I would think more people would be happy about after the horrendous football were only a few short years removed from. You’ll only see certain posters in this thread and the rest will spend 99% of their time in the vent thread/ bash someone thread and that speaks louder than any post ever could. It’s become taxing to come here for the first time since I joined.

What we have is a talented team that *can* be very, very good, but so far hasn't really put together a complete game on both sides of the ball. We've had a lot of games where the D was rock-of-Gibraltar solid from start to finish. We've had games where the offense looked 2018-ish for long stretches of the game. It's the fucking consistency that just seems to be so elusive.

If we put together a game where both the O and the D played up to their respective talent levels, we can beat anybody in this league, and I mean anybody. There is not one team in the NFL right now I would look at and say, "well, I don't think we could beat them." The players and coaches just need to get their shit together and learn how to be consistent.

Dammit.

The niners are a good football team with a good coach and seem to be the team Rams have the most trouble with. If the Rams take care of business down the stretch and the niners lose a couple more times the we shouldn't have to play them anymore this year. I believe things will get better. Hell were in the mix to get into the playoffs. This time last year we were hanging on by a thread to get a wild card. Things could be A LOT worse tbh.

The WCO guys are all pretty similar IMO. Both Shanny and McVay the way to make their offense look very un-genius-like is to stuff their run game. Do that and all of a sudden everything built off that run action looks like garbage and it's all on the QB. Last few matchups that Shanny has beaten McVay all have that in common, that run game disruption.

Once that happens it's two division teams sluggin it out. Which is what we saw, along with some key QB mistakes. But either way as infuriating as that game was if we keep it in perspective it's pretty clear we have just as much a shot as any other NFC team. We can still say "why not us."

Good post.
I'm happy enough with 7-4.
And 10-6 will get us in the playoffs so I'm expecting playoffs.

Um ... Kumbaya!
