Rams announce signing of 22 UDFA's as of 5/15/19

The Rams selected eight players in the 2019 NFL Draft, and now have agreed to terms with 14 college free agents to compete for spots during the offseason program and training camp.

The list includes three offensive linemen, three linebackers, and three tight ends — among other positions.

Additionally, Los Angeles signed offensive lineman Jeremiah Kolone to its roster. Kolone was a part of the Rams' offseason roster last year, and an initial member of the practice squad for the 2018 season, but was dropped shortly after the season started. He played in the Alliance of American Football league for the San Diego Fleet.

That's my alma mater, and it ain't exactly an NFL factory like USC, Notre Dame, or any of the SEC or BIG 10 schools. Most notable Delaware alums that made it in the NFL: Joe Flacco, Rich Gannon, LB Paul Worrilow, and S Mike Adams.

So I'll be rooting for this kid - hope he sticks the final 53 (but only if he deserves to be there).

If I am an ILB who felt he was overlooked, the Rams would be my preference; Wade's history, the atmosphere Rams Park is now known for, etc.

Wow, is anyone else surprised that there is no QB listed anywhere? I figured that since we did not draft one we probably had several ear marked for the UDFA list.

Bortles/Allen/Wolford - not sure if they even want another. I didn't think they would.

WR and LB make a ton of sense. The 5/6 WR spots are special teams only, so those guys could theoretically get beaten out. ILB appears to be a backup spot available.

That's another 20 guys - total of 57 - figure Williams, Davis and Natson are easy cuts. Then need to cut one more based on special teams - and any UDFA would be competing with guys who have basically already been here or incoming rookies (who were drafted for a reason, as Snead said). I wouldn't be surprised if we only end up with one UDFA making the roster this year.

If the ones they were interested in were taken earlier than they valued them - say, Easton Stick for instance - what's the point of inviting a qb to camp. They already signed a camp arm.

I think the Clemson WR you talking about is Trevion Thompson and I have seen some reports that he has signed with the Rams and some reports that he has signed with the Chargers. I do think he has signed with the Chargers.

TE is wide open. ILB is wide open. Those two positions the kids have an advantage in trying to make the roster.

CB I think might be more open than it looks, with Wade probably wanting better cover types on the bottom of the depth chart provided they can play teams of course. WR too if a guy can show great route fundamentals and hands plus teams it up.

Wouldn't want to try to make this roster as an OLB, RB, or Safety UDFA.

WR Alex Bachman could be a nice story, at least for camp -- Local-local kid and Oaks Christian grad. Dude's a Marvel fan and a GoT fan, heck he could be one of us.
