Donald will be the highest paid defensive player for about two weeks until someone else is.

Stafford will be the highest paid QB for about two weeks until someone else is.

Time frame may change obviously but that's just how it is. High end players aren't the highest paid for very long because a new market is set once one signs. The cap is just going to keep sky rocketing in the next few years anyway. I wouldn't get too worked up over the numbers either or how it effects other players coming back. The cap situation in the NFL is so confusing it's almost pointless speculating over it because we have no idea how the contract will work lol. Or at least I don't.

I think we've already done all of this fretting about our cap several times before... every time forgetting that we weren't doomed the last time either....

With extending AD and Stafford, it makes me wonder it they'll be able to sign anyone outside of Miller and OBJ.

Yeah we are about to lose some players. Prior to 2021 Allen was unproven, so more of that ahead this offseason. That pipeline on the OL is about to get tested.
