Highest PFF Grade of all College OLinemen in 2025

I'm perfectly fine with this pick. Started all of his games at right tackle for Mizzou, but he has left tackle and guard experience from three different college stops before this one. Might even be able to play center. Scouts were really high on him, and he was ascending to that range. Lots of experience in the trenches.

Fits a need, fits the round, and I like the player. I'm fine with this pick.

They supposedly spent a lot of time at Missouri scouting their games. He was the reason why so apparently they liked him a lot. Offers position flex and we cant argue the Rams have been good at finding mid to lower round O Lineman and making them productive NFL players.

How does Trost compare to Gennings Dunker (whom I was pounding the table for at 93) in your opinion?

McVay says he can play all 5 positions.

Maybe he's our Shelton replacement in 2027.

I can see where this class is headed: for potential in 2027. Maybe they don't even draft a receiver. Maybe they like Whitt, Mumps, and the three undrafted last year (Presley, Tru, and Super Mario) more than the Day 3 receivers in this class (even Sarratt, whom I'd love to add...but I don't think it's feasible at this point). It's not something I necessarily agree with, but I can see the thought process.

Both of them are versatile players. Dunker will probably move to guard and could never play left tackle; Trost could possibly stick at tackle and has experience on the left side, so he can at least hack it a game if A-Jax goes down. Dunker has more range, but Trost isn't shabby either. Both of them really move bodies in the run game (give the edge to Trost by a hair), both of them are surprisingly solid pass protectors (giving the slightest edge to Dunker).

I know Trost isn't the sexy "known" pick like Dunker is (and I'm a bit surprised that Dunker went in the third round), he's a fair bit older than Dunker, but looking at it objectively, they're very similar players, Trost was rated about this area, and scouts are high on him.
