Just thinking out loud after a couple of preseason games.. Where do you see the Rams investing in next year's draft?
I think OL, DL/Edge and RB will be the biggest areas to address in next year's draft.
The Rams could have a 2 3rd rounders and a 2nd.. depending on whether they make a trade for a pass rusher at the deadline.
If they keep that 2nd.. I see it being an edge or DL.. and one of the two 3rd rounders will be an OL.
I know they like to have a lot of picks.. and they have a bunch in the 5th, 6th and 7th rounds.. lots of swings to be had. I see more OL picks, RB(s) and DLs.
I can't see any reason why they would pick a WR.. I expect Kyren Williams to be the K/P returner next year... they probably will draft a DB or two because of potential contract losses, though I do wonder how many they'll lose. I think they'll end up keeping either Rapp or Scott.. and I'm hoping it's Scott. And we'll see if Troy Hill is kept around.
On OL.. best case scenario next year could be Bruss growing up a TON and being a starter.. Anchrum taking a big leap this year and being a starter.. and Jackson growing enough to be the RT.
That'll create a huge need for quality young depth. We'll see.
Then there's always the backup QB question.. will there be a chance to bring in a guy who could actually develop into a starter?
Always fun to just look a head a little on this.
