Rams: (#13) 1st Round QB Ty Simpson

Although I personally wish the Rams had gone in a different direction with their 1st round pick, I am sure we ALL want the Ty Simpson selection to eventually be a Huge Rams' Success Story.

With that in mind, I recommend all ROD members listen to the 12-minute press conference Simpson had today in Los Angeles. It's on the Team site. He comes across very well ... not surprising but encouraging.

I know… gasp! But… If we think this is a SB team we are one unlucky hit from season over. Simpson gives us hope if we can get him ready in time. I guess it’s possible he plays sooner than we think if the 38yr old Stafford misses time.

I really wanted us to load up on pass catchers. I didn’t like the pick at the time but let’s see what happens tonight.

Simpson moves well, good feet, and has a nice release. He’s smart and throws with anticipation.

Ty already knows how to mislead DBs with his eyes. Now he needs to learn how to mentally track the timing of his receivers from Matthew so he can become Soul Stealer 2.0.

i admit i was a little shocked by the pick but the more i read the more i liked it...

and now a TE... lol i know now why im not a GM.... LMAO

honestly i think sean is playing chess and we are all just wishing we knew how...

i think the TE pick is a way to out muscle the seahawks... save this post naysayers...

man do i love this team, coach, GM, and owner...

The Simpson pick makes sense.
The Rams figure they are drafting very low after a deep playoff run. There are a lot of QBs in next years draft, but, the Rams would have to give up a lot to move up to get one they liked. So, after adding a top player at a position of need with the 29th pick, they add a QB they like now, even if its a bit higher than they'd like, to get the future QB now.
It will be very interesting to see how this plays out for a few reasons. He does have some first round traits but man, only 15 games in college.....
Very interesting pick.
I hate it less today.

Yes they have. Don’t forget our #26 THIS year was traded for McD (CB) from the chiefs. The Simpson pick was a nice luxury to have.
