We could've easily gotten him with a trade down. I'm pissed that Lemon and Bain were right there, and they pick a quarterback, when they're literally all in this year, when there are a whole hell of a lot of quarterbacks who are going to be better in the next draft, when he has an injury history just as extensive as Jordyn Tyson, when he can't make the throws Stafford can in his sleep, when he's had very fewer starts than any quarterback in the first round.
This looks like a bust to me with the injury history and picking him at #13. The only way he makes me eat my words is if he has a HOF career with us. That's it.

They just took a 24 year old QB with a limited college experience that has an injury history. Nobody else would have taken him in the 1st in a year they are going to be Super Bowl contenders.

Wasting a first round pick on a player that won’t see the field til 2028 when you are trying to win now seems like the wrong move. I wouldn’t be surprised if guys in the locker room are low key pissed.

That's fair. And I will admit, the more I watch of him, the more I do like the potential.
He's a Ram now, so you know I'll root for him. Hopefully, we find some impact players rest of the way.

I was one of them. Not in criticism of Simpson, just the impact to our 2026 run. I felt we would stack the deck behind Stafford.
Stafford must be indicating he’s nearly done.
If Ty Simpson was a franchise QB, people wouldn’t be so surprised that we took him at 13. The betting odds have been for him to be a late first round, early second round pick for months.
He’s 6’1 and has 15 total college starts. This is a pretty unprecedented developmental project.
