I wish we would've traded down if we were going to select Simpson. That's all.

We could've easily gotten him with a trade down. I'm pissed that Lemon and Bain were right there, and they pick a quarterback, when they're literally all in this year, when there are a whole hell of a lot of quarterbacks who are going to be better in the next draft, when he has an injury history just as extensive as Jordyn Tyson, when he can't make the throws Stafford can in his sleep, when he's had very fewer starts than any quarterback in the first round.

This looks like a bust to me with the injury history and picking him at #13. The only way he makes me eat my words is if he has a HOF career with us. That's it.

I fucking hate this pick. Mind you, I'm going to have a lot of copium later on, but right now, I'm fucking pissed.

One of the fucking dumbest things ive ever seen mcvay and snead do.

This trumps taking Atwell over Creed Humphrey.

I am speechless.

They just took a 24 year old QB with a limited college experience that has an injury history. Nobody else would have taken him in the 1st in a year they are going to be Super Bowl contenders.

Meeehhhhhhh-kay

I don't love it but it's not like they shot my dog.

And if you don't take the tackle here, take the guy who can play QB and run well if our QB gets dusted next year with OL injuries!

More curious now if the Jimmy G had a heads up.

I really think there's a lot to like there but I'm going to do a deep dive tonight now that he's officially a Ram.

The main thing about this pick is that this is what you traded for that future 1st for and we won't have another opportunity like this anytime soon. So if this is their guy and it has apparently been throughout the entire process, I'm going to trust their gut here.

This is a very good pick for the Rams long term. That said I'm dying inside laughing at all the people that were sure he wouldn't be the pick. Sit back and enjoy the growth of your future QB1 over the next year or two.
I was one of them. Not in criticism of Simpson, just the impact to our 2026 run. I felt we would stack the deck behind Stafford.

Stafford must be indicating he’s nearly done.

When you have a chance to select a franchise QB - you take him.
If Ty Simpson was a franchise QB, people wouldn’t be so surprised that we took him at 13. The betting odds have been for him to be a late first round, early second round pick for months.

He’s 6’1 and has 15 total college starts. This is a pretty unprecedented developmental project.
