It's just hard for me to believe that a rookie in Bain, Lemon, Sadiq or whomever is going to the be difference in whether or not this team gets to a Super Bowl. That's even if they pan out which isn't guaranteed.Yes, in three years we all may be rejoicing in the Simpson pick if he plays well. But I fear we may all be heartbroken in late January/mid February because we were a Bain or Lemon or Sadiq away from a SB. It's been a few hours now and I still can't believe it. Your choice of so many good players to play RIGHT NOW and you pass. And this rationalization about "well, our pick at 29 got us McDuffie" - that's BS. We had the 13th pick too! In addition to McDuffie!! You'll never get a shot like this again to immediately improve a SB-worthy team. Like it or not, this single selection may very well define Snead & McVay's legacy. And wow, McVay looked like someone shot his dog at the presser.
BTW, I really believe that Bain would be better suited as a 4-3 DE.
