Rams #1 Defense in NFL

My second goal behind a SB win is to lead league in scoring differential for back to back seasons.

For those worse at math than me, we're currently #1 at +54.
#2 - Ravens +33
#3 - Bengals +22
(No other teams better than +20)
#30 - Lions -34
#31 - Cardinals -52
#32 Buffalo -55

IIRC we lost that by benching our starters and getting beaten by the Niners in week 17 last year.

There is no question that Barron is gone after this year.

Between his cap hit and how the new guys are playing, I think the only reason he isn’t cut is his salary is guaranteed and he’s still an amazing player and if he can come back, at worst he’s amazing depth.

yes, they've played weak opponents. But against these weak opponents, they've had 6 straight shutout quarters, which is damn impressive. In fact, after a slow start where they gave up a TD on the first drive, there's been no TDs and only two field goals - and nothing close for 6 quarters.

So while their opponents have been weak, they have done everything that could be expected against them defensively.

We'll see how they do going forward, but so far they have looked damn impressive.

That's pretty much it, right? We're doing what we're supposed to be doing vs non playoff teams...ripping their heart out.

What I like is that future opponents are seeing that the 3 step drop, dink and dunk, preventive offense won't beat us. You are gonna have to roll the dice and take your chances.
...actually, that's only way I think a team can beat us unless we self destruct. I don't like their odds, but I think it's the only way.

You can only play who’s in front of you and this team takes NO ONE for granted. That’s why we shut teams out.

I really wonder how the Chargers game is gonna shake out because Rivers is amazing....and we have his kryptonite in Peters. Melvin Gordon is no joke, but neither is our front 7.
