I read somewhere and now can't find it, the last time a defense kept another team under 5 first downs for an entire game was in 2008. There have only been 6 games since then where a defense has kept another team to exactly 5 first downs. The Rams kept the Cards to 5 total but had kept them to 3 until the backups came in on final drive.

So yes, the Cards are bad. But what they did is total and complete domination like the NFL rarely ever sees. So they deserve the praise.

edit: found it, was Myles and that Hammond guy talking.

Wow. We are #2. I am honestly shocked. We have looked pretty damn good on defense, though. I hope this remains the case.

Say what you will, think what you may but this Rams team is bad to the bone and hasn't played that well yet. Yes, I said it. Our O and D hasn't played its best ball yet. So somebody can send out an APB to the rest of the NFL right now. There's no need to wait. Things are only going to get worse for the other 31 teams. There will be no quarters given!!!!

Must be nice having confidence of making the post-season. We will be watching it from the couch.
Dunno. Your division may be a huge disappointment. Still a lot of games left.

Through two games, the Cowboys have allowed 29 points. The last time they gave up that few in their first two games of the season came in 1996 when they lost 22-6 in the opener to Chicago and shut out the New York Giants, 27-0, in Week 2.

Giants ( more like gnats )in week 2 seem to be the common denominator here LOL

Though Rams DL Suh, Brockers and Donald names haven't come up much, their play the first two games have had a huge impact. Suh is stuffing the middle, Brockers and Donald are getting pressure on the QB and that has much effect as sacks, and those will start coming.

No long breakout runs like what happened early in games last season.

Watching the last 2 games, it looks like both sides of the ball have just started to show what they're capable of. We've won easily and by that I mean it almost looked like pre-season. When this team gets in their grove over the next few weeks, look out.

The next 2 games will show where we are but I fully expect 2 victories against 2 playoff caliber teams. Come week 5, no one will be talking shit about the rams.

My second goal behind a SB win is to lead league in scoring differential for back to back seasons.

For those worse at math than me, we're currently #1 at +54.
#2 - Ravens +33
#3 - Bengals +22
(No other teams better than +20)
#30 - Lions -34
#31 - Cardinals -52
#32 Buffalo -55

Teams are afraid to run longer developing passing plays and throw deep. Talib, NRC, and Peters are just smothering the short stuff.

Big Nickle with Marqui Christian is maybe the best formation. Marqui is not afraid to say HELLO (neither are Joyner or Johnson) to a ball carrier and Ebukam is pretty impressive in coverage.

I have watched the game three times already and it is just unbelievable.

Talib and Peters = 37 yards passing allowed. . . between them. . . for the first two games. . . YIKES

.

i don't think rivers is the type of qb that will get the ball out quick because he's afraid of getting sacked. the dline and edge rushers will get chances this week.

the dbs will get their real test for the first time this week.

can't wait. it's gonna be a great game.

Which is nice but it's two weeks. One against a mediocre offense at best learning a new scheme and a really bad offense.

At least Natson gave a jump start to the return game... so ST ranking should be high... would be even better if they stop holding. :)

I agree. No equivocation...;no hedging..we are the best team in the NFL and should beat EVERYONE we play. Not saying we will, because letdowns happen. I swear to God, 14-2 is realistic, and I might be low balling the final win totals.

Timing is everything & be ready at all times ...is what my Dad always told me....

At this time weak side ILB'er Mark Barron has not recovered from his two off season surgeries.....new Ram Ramik Wilson has some sizable Holes in his coverge skills......Bryce Hager & Micah Kiser have skills & abilities more fine tuned to the MLB post so who's left?

Strong Safety former 5th rd selection of the Eagles in 2016 who was released & then signed from the WWC resort & also coming back from the IR last season stood ready to take his skills right into the middle of the Ram defense. MC is our hardest hitting DB & it appears at the moment MC has learned to wrap up on his tackles now in his 3rd season. Wade must still be :D over his ideal to make MC an inside LB'er on passing situations.

Want proof??? MC was inserted into this position in the 4th quarter of the 1 gm & then followed up in the same part time releif position last Sunday is now 3rd on this Ram defense in tackles.:sneaky:
