I am real
@So Ram
No need to scream with your explanation mark!
I'm a fan of Morris and thought he was a solid replacement for Staley considering all of the other choices McVay likely contemplated.
Morris will get some slack because of the offseason losses by the Rams.
I don't need to name the players lost because you all know who are they are.
Even so, Morris has some big shoes to fill after the love affair with Brandon Staley's first year accomplishments.
When you inherit the number one rated defense in the NFL, you will be compared to the previous defensive coordinator and under the microscope after every game.
The 2021 defensive statistics under Morris will be compared to the 2020 defense under Staley all season by NFL pundits.
I'm guessing Morris is capable of keeping the defense rated in the top 7 - 10.
Predicting the Rams to be a top 3 defense in 2021 based on their 2020 season performance isn't logical from my armchair.
I won't be surprised it they remain top 5 of or end up rated in the 10- 12.
Morris has said, he's more concerned about wins than what the defensive stats are.
I agree with Raheem on the surface, but if the Rams lose some critical close games because the defense collapses, Morris will become an NFL media
scapegoat.
