Morris has been around long enough to have seen many players like Lewis and know that USUALLY guys who come into the league banged up, stay banged up. They don’t often have long or full careers.

It doesn’t make sense to discourage guys out there playing their butts off, trying to make the team, by mentioning a player who isn’t even out there competing.

Should Lewis make it to the party, it would be a welcome bonus because he’s very talented; however, designing a defense relying on Lewis would be extremely foolish—Morris knows this.
Yeah, because he is a BIG PART of THE RAMS DEFENSE!! He is quietly working his way into the lineup.
It will be interesting to see if Mcvay plays him in the preseason.
I do think his name comes up in the scrimmages. This post helped me dig back in my memory bank.
T.Lewis is working 1 on 1 against Whitworth, he also is playing behind Floyd as well on the right side.He was putting work in on the sleds.
In The Rams Training Camp highlight video you see him making a diving hit onto the mat HiTTing(tackling) The Dummy!!

I think it absolutely matters. He didn't even come to mind when Morris was answering the question. He's the highest drafted OLB we've made in a while and he's not even being mentioned when discussing pass rushers from OLB?? I thought some around here said he's looked pretty good in camp but I guess not.
Did you here what he said about Technique & players. Individuals?
Did you hear what he said about AD & players buttons ? He wants to save a player from himself.
Did you hear what he said about The Pro Training Staff The Rams have ?

This all plays into Raheem Morris’s coaching. He respects all 88 right now & runs drills as an assistant coach. He is giving his players a chance & 100% of his energy.

Honestly I've pretty much written him off as a draft miss, but I understand them taking a shot on the guy. Bottom line though is he doesn't strike me as their usual pick. You know, the guy who is smart and loves the game. Lewis is more a Fisher type pick. I suspect he's a Snead "we gotta take a shot on this value right here" guy.

And I get it so I'm not pissed or anything. If he does show up this year and help us I'll be pleasantly surprised.
This is my attitude as well. They hit on so many other picks, they can take chances and deal with it when they don't pan out. It's not like they are gambling with their last dollar. The team is also very patient with players that have potential and show they are working hard. I think we have seen enough of how this organization works to not worry to much about their process. Lewis will work or won't. If he does the team will be better. If he doesn't the team will deal and move on.

Lewis has been out there every day except for the day he was given off. I get there early and he's one of the first guys out on the field working with the trainer pre warm ups. He's been with the twos and even snaps with the ones at DE and he looks like he's been giving good effort. Doesn' look to me like thery're limiting him.

I see nothing to complain about so far with Lewis.

Morning bubba, when you say DE are you speaking about the post that DL'er Brockers played the last few seasons, or are you meaning OLB'er posts where starters Floyd & Hollins play?

The reason I asked is I have held the opinion here different than most everyone else that Terrell Lewis will eventually end up playing @ the DE post where Brockers was assigned if he ever gets healthy enough to be considered a positive contributor to this defense.

I just see much more pass-rushing DL'er in him than OLB'er. The DL coach Henderson is in super bad need of bonified pass rushers in his DL other than just Aaron Donald.

Yea in a few of the camp reports around here people said he was looking pretty good. So IDK just found it odd that Morris would mention Lawler, and John Daka before thinking of T Lewis. I get Obo and Hollins who are ahead on the depth chart. But Lawler and Daka? Idk just found it weird his name wasn't even said. It's not like Lewis was a 1st rounder or anything, but still a 3rd round pick with his talent I hope develops into a good player for us in year 2.
Morris loves to ‘push buttons’ to get player reactions. Perhaps he deliberately did this to push one of Lewis’ buttons?

They opened camp with Jonah Williams playing a lot of snaps at DE. He looks like a younger and faster version of Brockers who plays with power and the speed that Brockers didn't bring. He was going against Whitworth and looked like he gave Whit all he could handle. IMO he looked like the kind of early-down DE that can set a hard edge in the early-down run game.

I think from what I'm hearing it's Hollins and Williams who might be who they are looking at right now. I've always been high on Williams and Hoecht and I think they both bring speed and power to their respective positions. As far as Lewis is concerned they were talking about the DE position. They also could be looking at Lewis to play behind Floyd as depth and in rotation.

Lewis needs to prove he can stay healthy, just as Howard and Kiser must also prove they can do likewise. I like Lewis and think he's a legitimate talent. But if he can't stay on the field long enough to earn his spot on the roster they can't simply wait on him.

WOW !! You guys are TOUGH & IMO the FANS I sort of dislike.I know I have drank to much at times, but I do not understand all THE HATE!!!
I see the O”LINE is being left alone & now it’s T. Lewis.

What I don’t see is why? Might as well say F”Copper Kupp!!! When has he even been a playoff game without being hurt. Misses almost a Whole Season !!
T. Lewis is exactly who The Rams think he was, solid LBer who is raw, plays with passion,& will play hurt when asked.
In 2020 I had my doubts & have been pleasantly surprised at his ability.I’m sure you’ll get positive reports sooner than later.

Bonifay, Lewis has mostly been at OLB, standing up and sealing the edge, but he has taken snaps with his hand in the dirt as DT.

So far he's been holding up with a huge knee brace. Lets hope that lasts.

Bonifay’d- VTR took a photo of him in pads against Whitworth. He is coming from the RDE spot where Hollins lines up. The LBers do move around with Floyd. I’ve seen him on the left side playing behind Floyd at times as well.

—By the South end Grand Stands closer to where the players enter
there is the sleds for the DLineman.
I saw T. Lewis working with a couple of the LBers that will be DE’s.

Donte Fowler will have nothing on T. Lewis as a pass rusher. LMAO-$45 mil
& 3 sacks. I’m sure that would have made Ram Fans a heck of a lot more mad. Troy Reeder had 3 sacks alone against Team Washington.

I have no hate for Lewis. In fact I am hopeful. Just a wait and see attitude and a trust in the Rams.

Reggie Scott & the Rams Staff does a phenomenal job.Keeping players healthy is what they do. Cam Akers is already working hard for 2022.
You never know & it’s not even the season. T. Lewis has done all they ask of him.

Lewis is extremely talented. I’ve yet to see a poster or pundit say otherwise. It is unfair though, to keep his name fresh in everyone’s ears while it is others putting in the reps while he trains for a return. He’s not a proven vet. I’m sure Morris will be welcoming upon Lewis’ return to scrimmage.
