Dolphins Are Reportedly 'Team To Watch' If Tom Brady Unretires

The Tom Brady unretirement speculation has begun.

NFL Network's Rich Eisen said he ran into "a couple of birdies" at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis that told him of the possibility of Brady unretiring (again).

"The No. 1 rumor I heard at the Combine, not in terms of chatter, but this one just blew my mind, Tom Brady may not be done after all," Eisen said. "A couple of people were like, 'Just hang on. Just wait.'

"The one place that folks are saying to keep an eye out for is Miami. If the Dolphins get somehow, someway, a doctor's report, a piece of information of Tua that he's not ready to go and suddenly there's Tom Brady sitting in Florida, where his family is located and where he can easily locate himself, keep an eye on that."
I would get a kick out of that. Even more should Rodgers wind up with the Jets.

Allen, Brady and Rodgers in the AFC East. Belichick has to match up against them six times. Mahomes, Burrow, Herbert, Lawrence, Watson and (maybe) Jackson also all in the AFC. That’s a fun watch!

God, how nauseating would those Jets/Dolphins game be?
On a side note, Imagine Brady heading to Foxboro (or whatever they call it these days)
You know Belicheck would be on the sidelines telling the players:

Minnesota Vikings reportedly rejected Kirk Cousins’ attempt to reduce his 2023 pay

Well, apparently, Kirk Cousins tried to take a pay reduction for this upcoming season, but the Vikings weren’t willing to do it.

According to Star Tribune’s Andrew Krammer, Cousins was open to reducing his 2023 cap number, but only if the Vikings re-committed to him for the next three years.

“I had also heard that he wasn’t asking for $40 [million]. He wasn’t asking for that much, in terms of what Daniel Jones got, who is obviously much younger but much less accomplished. Cousins’ camp was kind of surprised I guess, from what I heard, at the Vikings not jumping or at accepting what they were asking for.”

As we know now, the Vikings didn’t bite at what Cousins was offering. With that, the 34-year-old QB is now entering a contract year.

There’s no telling what the Vikings have in mind for their future QB, but if they’re truly willing to consider walking away from Cousins at the end of the season, they will need to address the position in some capacity this offseason. Backup Nick Mullens is the only other quarterback on the roster.

With just five selections in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Vikings don’t exactly have the ammo needed to move up for one of the top four QBs available. But maybe a non-first-round project like Tennessee’s Hendon Hooker could fascinate general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and Co.
