I agree much ado about nothing. McVay had cleared it so it seems just not on the short week. They'll be there in the long off week on a day not much is going on.
Couldn’t even watch it,but I’m sure Mcvay thought PUKA would be SMARTER & more mature than that.
The Rams UNDER MCVAY have almost always shown a certain amount of class as well as things more in house than going viral.

In some ways it might be better in a short week. JUST beat the HAGS

This amounts to nothing. I'm sure their 800 followers will be thrilled. Nacua is a fine young man and a savage on the field. Love the way he just throws defenders off him as they desperately try to hold him. One defender ended up flat on his face in the last game.
Welp.... this is a helluva lot bigger than 800 followers. Front page story on ESPN now..

If the Refs use that as spite they got bigger issues and should not be an NFL ref......

LMAO - then his point will have been well taken & shown on TV.
If he happens tomorrow night it would be national tv for an even bigger audience.

This is such a BIG GAME!! If The Rams could win they’d be in Top Post Position. Getting that bye & then home field would be huge.

IMO he is still upset a REF showed him up & called a Personal Foul on him for celebrating a 1st down.Which from the one video shows he spins the ball after a 1st.down & then flexes.
Now I guess he will add that little something something with his hands. The hope is he only does it after a TD,which would have more meaning & time to celebrate.

Saw him make a nice catch, run & or a play. When he doesn’t get the 1st down he basically doesn’t spin the ball.

It falls under “Conduct Detrimental to the League”.
It would be interesting to see how that would be interpreted. My understanding is that conduct detrimental to the league is more aimed at illegal activity, not speaking your mind on your personal time. The only time I've seen the league fine coaches or players is when they said something in the post game pressers when they are still on mandatory NFL time.

I think more - this is just something you don't say out loud. It may amount to nothing. The zebras should just let it slide. Then again, if some young player said it, the refs have to know that it goes a lot deeper than one player. Maybe they need something like this to realize the perception that is pretty prevalent inside (I assume) and outside of locker rooms.

The ironic thing is the Rams have the least penalties in the league this season. They are usually near the bottom under McVay. Why even talk like that while being filmed?

Great point. For the least penalized team this year, why kick the frikken zebra/hornets nest?

If the Rams and NFL are doing this by the book, this is a potential violation that hurts the reputation of the NFL:

1. Team needs to report it
2. Puka will be investigated
3. Expect a fine

The only thing I see in that policy that could possibly result in a fine that wouldn't be appealed if they tried is the last part of "prohibited conduct":

▪ Conduct that undermines or puts at risk the integrity of the NFL, NFL clubs, or NFL personnel.
And at best, it is ambiguous if you are trying to apply it to what Puka did (said).

And this is also ambiguous and wouldn't seem to apply as it is clearly more geared at harmful behavior/activity. But the bolded part is a possible leg they could stand on but it still seems pretty shaky:

Conduct by anyone in the league that is illegal, violent, dangerous, or irresponsible puts innocent victims at risk, damages the reputation of others in the game, and undercuts public respect and support for the NFL.

They may very well try to fine him but I would guess if the fine is substantial, it will be appealed and probably dismissed. I'd be shocked if they try to suspend him for any time period. The team itself might - but I doubt that as well.

You read the same thing I did. NFL already fined Reid and Mahomes for similar misconduct. Throw on top of that, actions that some Jews may find offensive.

Further, we don’t know what the NFL specifically discusses in off season meetings regarding violations of personal misconduct. If complaining and making pejorative assumptions about officials was discussed, could be a significant fine.

Puka may also be offered counseling and a frontal lobotomy to remind him why the NFL is great.

The suggestion that I’m making ANY kind of political statement with this is utter, complete nonsense.

This isn’t one random person responding.. it’s exploding on the internet and it is a situation involving a Rams player.

The knee-jerk reaction is just a denial of something that’s happening a Rams player.

I’ve STRONGLY avoided political discussions on here for a very long time.

Judge the post and content on its merits.. not on some pre-existing judgement on a specific poster.

Or don’t.

To be clear, I’m posting this because it’s a distraction on the week of the Rams biggest game of the season.

Puka seems like good but immature guy. With a rookie you can take the "aw, shucks" approach. Not in year 3, and particularly not when he has been a superstar in all of them. In the NFL world, you're already starting to become a vet at that point. NFL = Not for Long. Maybe careers are already over in that time span. He needs to mature. This video and his locker room live stream are not the end of the world. But that is 2 incidents in quick succession. And this is just what the public sees. I imagine, as always, that some things never made it into the public eye. Part of what makes the Rams so successful is their team culture and being so buttoned up. We can't have our best skill position player departing from that. Bad tone and precedent. Things can snowball fast in a locker room.

His ref comments are the most troublesome. The zebras might be coming for payback...

I wasn't saying YOU were being political with your post. The tweet itself was from someone very political and if you read further, she had one small tweet about Puka among a long list of political posts. Whether anyone here agrees or not with her posts, they are political. We're not going down that road.

But that is beside the point. With millions and millions of people on social media, are we to just have them all show up here? It's ridiculous.

And I would not have posted something that one person took exception to.

This is growing rapidly and becoming a thing.
I’m not going to post links because I don’t want to have this post deleted too.

Like it or not, it seems Puka really stepped into a mess.
