With Nacua, Robinson and Atwell I think McVay will rest Kupp. This team should go into the playoffs and they will need a fully healthy Kupp. Remember, once the Rams are in the playoffs, ANYTHING COULD HAPPEN.

The Rams are back and they can do some damage in the playoffs. I would love to see the Rams & Lions in the NFC Championship game. Suddenly, next year as a legitimate SB contender seems very realistic doesn't it? The playoffs are a whole different animal so getting this young roster the experience this year would be the perfect setup for next year. It will make these young guys believe they can, and very hungry to get it done.

And he just seems like a really good dude. A We NOT Me type of guy. Refreshing to see with all the WR primadonnas
Yeah. That’s the best part about this last draft. They got some kids with great attitudes. Kids that love the game and want to do it to the best of their ability. They seem to be having fun in the process, especially Puka.

John Harbaugh Makes Puka Nacua Draft Admission Ahead of Rams at Ravens

John Harbaugh may be the only NFL head coach other than Sean McVay not surprised by Puka Nacua’s rapid rise. Harbaugh admitted he had the Los Angeles Rams’ rookie wide receiver “way up” on the board for the Baltimore Ravens ahead of the 2023 NFL draft.

Speaking ahead of the trip to L.A. on Sunday, December 10, Harbaugh said, “Oh yeah, I liked him. He was one of my highest-rated guys. You can ask anybody here. Ask the wide receiver coach, ask the scouts. He was way up on my board. He’s playing exactly how I thought he would, for the record,” per Ryan Mink of Ravens.com.

The Ravens ultimately chose another prospect in Round 5, but McVay’s Rams struck gold when they selected Nacua 177th overall. Nacua’s been an instant hit, compiling 1,029 receiving yards through 12 games of a sensational rookie season.

Then why didn’t they pick him?

Ok John.

It would be funny as fuck if it's us that's resting players and they're still having to go balls out for the #1.

We can dream.

Would be better if rat boy is so arrogant that he doesn't rest his players even though they have the #1 seed and a key player gets banged up.

I dunno. John Harbaugh knows football. He is one of the very few coaches that I think I would take over McVay, and Nacua's hard-nosed game with blocking ability definitely would fit with the mould of a Raven. If he says he thought that Puka was going to be great, well, maybe he is lying, but maybe he is telling the truth. We'll probably never know. But I don't find it completely unfeasible that he was pounding the table for Nacua and got overruled / out-voted, especially if he is saying this publicly and encouraging folks to ask around in the Ravens org to confirm it. It's not like it's Bill Belichick saying this, who has shown a continued deficiency in spotting young offensive talent.

The Ravens really don't draft WRs like Nacua and maybe that's what happened? I don't think they get them involved in blocking like the Rams do, either.

That could give some credibility to what Harbaugh said.. but I won't give it based on principle. He's a Harbaugh.

It’s possible that he liked Nacua and got overruled due to Puka’s injury history.

It’s also possible that he kind of liked Nacua and is now convincing himself that he really, really liked Nacua, more than he actually did.

I would think that if he was that effusive about Pula in the draft room that the Gam would have relented and he’d get his man.

Follow your board Harbaugh. Jackass. :laugh3:

I am going to throw this out there simply because I have not seen it suggested.

Could it have simply been Sarcasm?

I mean the quote is as follows:
Harbaugh said,
“Oh yeah, I liked him. He was one of my highest-rated guys. You can ask anybody here. Ask the wide receiver coach, ask the scouts. He was way up on my board. He’s playing exactly how I thought he would, for the record"

That reads like Sarcasm to me.

Rams are not in a position to rest starters

The only WR they took was Zay Flowers. Maybe after taking Flowers, they didn't feel they had a spot for another WR?
Maybe, but if they thought Puka would be that good and had 5 rounds to pick him, then I’d pick him regardless. By round five it’s not common to get really good players. I’m sure they could have used him.
