Schraeger said something on ESPN that sounded weird. Said "no Nacua, I'm looking long term here". What does that mean? The situation is starting to look a little strange. Nacua also has a weird look on his face lately. I have no idea like everyone else on this board. Either it's a contract thing or he just can't play with whatever is affecting him.

I translate that as, “Sit him. I care more about long term health that playing him with an injury that can affect him playing later in the year”

Puka has a psoas muscle problem from what I understand. I read it takes one or two months to recover from it. Pain can be experienced in the groin and other areas. So, if Puka's injury is on the more serious end of the scale, he might need another week or two to recover? I don't think there is a conspiracy here.

Most likely. Since he played the niner game he might have pulled it further. Could be awhile before he hits the field again.

Rumors flying the BTJ and MHJ could be had via trade, not sure if ya'll would have interest. I would, for the right asking price. BTJ would be a great fit as our 3rd WR as long as he worked on his hands.
Who are BTJ and MHJ ?
And why do people assume we all know NFL players by their initials only ?

McVay just said Puka is Doubtful for Sunday.

Weeeeee.

I honestly think we fall short in this game. Without Puka, playing on the road, and that Denver Defense. I think Mcvay falls back into his pass pass pass philosophies and it ends up working against us.

Hope I'm wrong.

He's running straight ahead well enough so much be the change of direction that's causing issues. Which would make since for groin/core muscle/lower back kind of stuff. At least he's out there doing sprints, that at least gives me confidence it is still a short term injury that they are being super careful about and not your classic deflecting of an injury status by McVay that turns out to be something huge no one expected after weeks of vague speak.

It IS a short-term injury since Mac didn't IR him. That means he knew he wouldn't be out for 4.

So 3 at the most, but more than likely he's back for Philly.

I think he's been humbled and forced to deal with a lot of his own crap. Sounds like rehab might have been really good for him. He has less of a crazy cocky vibe, but that's probably good for him overall. Honestly I think he's grown up a bit. Lord knows he's been under a microscope in the last year.

Something tells me this isnt an injury with Puka, and a Secret Suspension from the Rams. Things seem Off. I cant explain it, just a feeling I have. They are just trying to cover it up with "injuries" They are trying to see if they can win without him, and if they can, gonna let him walk or trade him.

BS came out about how Puka was the problem with his EX
Was in all sort of heat with the Ross thing
Then Apparently Bit someone
No extension
Now " injured" where he apparently has 2 or 3 different injuries.

I honestly think the Rams are tired of him, and Looking to move him out. This seems like the Akers situation all over again.

"We'll see... He's not making great progress. We'll welcome back Puka with open arms, but if not, I got a ton of confidence in the group that we will go with if he doesn't go." -Quote today from Mcvay!

I am one who likes to think outside boxes, and hate looking at things one dimensional. Whatever it is still suffering from jet lag or a groin injury or whatever. If the rams do pull off another win without Puka it will keep adding validity as we go into the season. I am curious to see how much longer this “lingering” injury continues and how the Rams are fairing off without him on the field.

They are making sure he is healthy for Philly. An NFC game vs a playoff team is more important than an AFC game.

Well which would make sense. Lets start using him later on in the season. Hell he may comeback the same week Myles Garrett comes back. Damn that will be Juggernaut mode. Whatever is going on with Puka I know this team isn’t in a bad spot. In fact now looking back I shouldn’t have been that salty about the loss in Aus. I’m sure this team knew exactly what to do. Maybe the shitshow performance was all an act.

What do all these minor injuries do to the contract negotiations? Do we really pay over $40m for a #1 WR who does not play 17 games a season? They say availability is your best ability but what happens when you're not available. Is his price somewhere between $35-38 now, curious to see what fellow Rams fans think. Doesn't really matter how damn good you are, you can't help your team while recovering on the bench.

I want to see the Rams bully Denver with the run game today and not get to pass happy, win with ball control and a stout defense. Then when Denver has to pull their safeties up for run support hit them with some deep shots, Mumpfield and Atwell get a chance to shine.
