I agree, it's a good thing.
If it is an April Fool's joke, that's a disgusting thing to joke about. Rehab for alcohol and drugs and in-patient mental health are two things I take very seriously, having family - and myself and some of my other family numerous times for the latter - that have done both.
If this is true, I hope Puka does well, for serious. It's good that he recognizes that there's a problem and that he's going to treat it seriously.
I'm glad he's getting help, he was appearing to go down a dark road (if allegations are even semi based in truth).

I think its a good thing but also way overblown. The kid simply has a maturity problem with his celebrity and simply needs to make better choices. I'm sure its more of a "avoiding pitfalls" of celebrity type training for him vs real actual rehab.

However, it sure looks like they're playing with the implication that the NYE incident caused Puka to go into rehab.
It's playing with the tendency of certain people to want to conclude that since Event A preceded Event B, Event A caused Event B.
Really Late Edit: More accurately, that NYP is playing that the allegations of the NYE incident preceded and were a cause of Puka going into rehab, i.e., he got sued and went into rehab

I think he was really in love with his former gf, since she dumped him. After that, he went ape doodoo. Sound like he's trying to fill the missing hole she left him in. Hope he heals and finds out he doesn't need to fill that hole.

Well, I stated that somewhat half heartedly. But, a player with substance issues may not be "reliable". Potential failed drug tests, continued drug issues causing him to leave the team for rehab mid-season. Stuff like that is now on the table for Puka. Rams will not roll without him, so better get another stud wide-receiver...just in case.

I can definitely see that being the case. He's still a very young man. We all navigate life while also needing some guidance along the way. I'm rooting for the kid.

I think this take is slightly overblown. He's literally not been arrested for anything related to substance abuse. He partied hard and simply didn't know his limits. Now he's learning, the hard way, that shady bitches will try to take advantage of that. Think the Rams will take a receiver more so because Adams is old and the style of physical football Puka plays.
