Curious as to how having Dedich 1 yard beyond the neutral zone gave the Rams an advantage. Much like players are programmed to recognize a dead ball when a whistle sounds, officials are trained to flag when there is a clear advantage or disadvantage that is a foul. Otherwise, there’d be a flag on every play.
Looking at the play, did Seattle try to cover or account for Dedich instead of an eligible receiver? No.
Did Dedich block his man downfield on a pass play? No.
Did Dedich move downfield to block a defender such as on a screen play? No.
If it didn’t create an advantage or disadvantage, why was it flagged as a foul?
Exactly, well said. You could see McVay telling the ref how? We are on the one yard line. Ridiculous. Puka running his mouth is not a blank check for retribution from the refs.Curious as to how having Dedich 1 yard beyond the neutral zone gave the Rams an advantage. I doubt you're wrong.I've got $50 for that fine.
Fuck Goodells NFL.
The day that man is finally gone will be a good one. The NFL under Paul Tagliabue wasn't perfect, but protecting the legitimacy of the game obviously meant more to him than raw revenue alone.
Goodell is just a CEO and the owners are the shareholders. Zero concern for anything other than ever-increasing revenue in-the-now. They've been strip-mining this game for all its worth for 25 years and it's only thanks to the long-standing tradition of NFL fans raising families and new generations of emotionally (and financially) invested fans that the NFL hasn't fallen off greatly under their rule.
Gambling + Goodell will absolutely leave the game looking like "pro-wrestling" if the fans and especially the current and former players and coaches dont get out front and center and bring the necessary attention to this shit.
Also: God Bless Puka Nacua.
He didn't even try to go downfield. The seagulls dlineman blatantly pulled him over. Nobody could see it any other way. Well, except, you know.
Puka screwed the Rams yesterday due to his embarrassing display with those internet clowns.

Pay the fine and keep talking. Players and coaches need to start saying the quiet part out loud: NFL officiating is shit.
We’re all human and react differently as officials. No evidence of taking frustrations out on officiating Puka directly. I imagine he’s still bitter about the PI that wasn’t called in crunch time last year. That tug and pull would have been worth some money in places that Robert Kraft frequents.Puka gave it absolutely everything he had last night only to come up short because of things outside of his control.
Immature? Yeah, maybe. Do I blame him for lashing out? Not really.
I will say this though prior to last night's events... we had previously been treated very, very kindly by the refs throughout the course of the season. I really don't understand why he felt the need to say the things he did in the first place. Refs are humans that absolutely have natural bias, but I don't see how Puka's comments are going to do anything but sway that bias in the opposite direction.

Actually it was the lineman down field at the goal line. There is 4 points right there. Strictly my opinion of course but that was the biggest screw up by the refs of all knight. The 2-point call is a rule loophole that fucked the Rams. Absolute nonsense call.
Good concept, but I’m going to disagree with you. AI would not be able to distinguish between small and big fouls. Football would be turned into a game of cricket and wouldn’t end.Was thinking about the ref's and game last night. The problem is that for everyone one they flag, they miss probably 3 or 4, whether it's holding or pass interference etc. Then the bigger problem is when they get that one they do call wrong. I mean it has to be a pathetic called vs non called rate and then if the called vs actual is not 100% then it's unfair. Then you add these two together and it's almost impossible to argue that the refs don't sway (favor) the game one way or another.
In this day and age, it seems like you could easily have AI evaluate most plays, with a live person and come to a fairer ruling within seconds after each play. They have to find a way to take out some of the subjectivity of the human call. I don't know, maybe that is fantasy.
Seems like if the NFL was confident in the way the game was reffed they would put out a statement today clarifying at least a couple of the calls made but they don't do that and for good reason, to protect themselves. They are really lucky they have a product that has such loyal fans.
He did not.
The Rams lost the game, not the Refs.
Bullshit calls happen.
Hit your FG.
Don’t give up a fucking TD on a punt return.
Puka CRUSHED it… was amazing.
Areas that have been problems for the Rams are why they lost with the biggest blame going to special teams.
The punt was bad.I beg to differ.
He belittled all the refs on what ended up being mainstream coverage. The refs screwed the Rams good and proper during the game. Thus Puka screwed the Rams.
Didn't say the refs lost the game for the Rams. They did a good enough job of that themselves.
That drive after what should have been the game winning interception drove me absolutely batty. After that drive I told my wife the Rams are gonna lose this game. Next second the seagulls returned the punt for a td. A classic case of conservative coaching directly affecting player performance, for both teams.
