Love how the article says he threw a 60 yard dime with a flick of the wrist when he wound that sucker up like a pitcher in baseball.

I think if they feel good about Bennett they may use a 6th on him if he is still on the board. However, if they are having doubts regarding Bennett I could see the Rams using one of their third-round picks on him. I tell you this kid has a cannon for an arm.

I would say Milton has a higher upside... just based on the measurables... I'd love to see a comp for that 3rd QB role.

He’s a mess. The head is just as important as the arm.

I'm not sure what makes you say his head is a mess, what do you know that makes you say this? Also, if he does have some issues like you claim this may cause him to fall in the draft and the Rams make take a late round flier on him. They took a shot at Bennett why not take one on Milton if things are like your claim.

When I was 18 I could throw 60 yards. And I was never a quarterback. 60 yards should be standard for a pro prospect.

I don’t think he means his head is a mess in the way Stetsons is/was.

I think he means he doesn’t have an NFL level IQ as far as quarterbacking goes.

At least that’s how I interpreted it.

He has a cannon for an arm, and size, but that’s about it. The guy has one of the worst completion percentages over 10 yards that I can ever remember. (38.6% on passes over 10 yards in 2023 is abysmal. In the NFL that is in the 20’s).

Dude has a lot of physical things going for him, but the transition to the NFL is going to take some time for him IMO. He is not an NFL QB at this time.

None of which means he can read a defence.

The good news is that this makes it more likely that a QB-needy team will move up for him and push more defensive talent down to us.

You have concerns about his ability to read a defense?

Yes. The words “rabbit” and “headlights” spring to mind.
Have not heard that criticism about him yet. Everything I’ve seen was in regards to his physical traits and injury history. Him not being able to read a defense is news to me.
