What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.Refs still suck....
-Flagging Joyner for hitting "defenseless" receiver shoulder to shoulder.
-Not flagging defender for laying out an actual defenseless receiver(Cooper).
-Not flagging defender for leading with crown on helmet to helmet hit that knocked out Thomas(most bullcrap missed call I have seen in a while).
Yep. 6'7 and 335 lbs.Whitworth is undoubtably the biggest acquisition of the off-season.
Fisher wouldn't hold anybody accountable.what the hell was all the O penalites about during Fisher's time?
That size is crazy when you think about it.Yep. 6'7 and 335 lbs.
It probably sounds weird but likely my favorite throw by Goff was the one he threw away. That was a professional QB play. He had nothing open and rather than forcing a throw (in an essentially meaningless game so why not?) he threw it away avoiding a negative play and/or getting clobbered in the process. He's thinking out there... No deer in the headlights. He made the correct play.My recollections for his incomplete passes are:
1. Fade to Watkins - I think Watkins was held (he couldn't get free of the defender)
2. Throwaway on a boot-leg when they took away Higbee and he was about to get sacked
3. Watkins drop on deep ball (but not a bad drop, nice play by defender)
4. Ball thrown before Kupp got his head around
Basically, if you remove the throwaway, he only had one pass that was off-target (first Watkins fade).
Rams had the ball on O over 36 min. Converted 8 of 15 3rd downs. Looks like we have an offensive coaching staff for the first time in many years.

One negative about this week, kidding it isn't about the team, the NFL.com site used to have a team selection of videos. Now you go there and select Rams video's and half the video's or more aren't about your team! NFL.com broke their site they better get it together.
Yes, we executed!!Best thing that I saw that has been missing, is simple, we had designed plays that worked well that showed the same look, with a different play, and we executed overall on offense. Executing includes, throwing on time, catching the ball, run blocking, blocking downfield, and pass blocking. Also, well designed, and in sync play calling. Guys were open, all day.
Agree, we executed.
They'd better effing have a bunch of talent considering their draft position over the last handful of years!!!Kupp is just insane.
Goff is 4/6 scoring drives - 3 TDs.
This team has so much talent..

Well it certainly looks REALLY different once the ball is snapped. There are players at all levels of the field and sideline to sideline. Not a lot of motion pre snap but I expect we will see more of that once the season starts. McVay is a creative play designer and while I don't expect this team to rival the GSOT it's fair to say that there is an element of Martz's philosophy in McVay.
Good observations RamBall.........there was no shooting themselves in the foot. It wasn't frustrating to watch them like it has been for so many years.
@DaveFan'51 this is my gift to you. A condensed version of the entire game. Enjoy! Looking forward to your opinions too!

IMO that's by design. The plays are constructed to take a little more time because of how they are spreading out the defense so Goff has to wait the extra heartbeat or two.
Two different guys and one of them hit him TWICE. No flag though LOL.
Wait until TAustin is back and defenses have to worry about the jet sweep or reverses. I think it was @Mojo Ram that did a breakdown of how those two were killing teams in the run game on some well designed plays.
McVay keeps a defense on it's heels doesn't he..........
Both were small things that made a big play happen.
Have you paid attention to Goff's footwork, it's very good now. They have obviously been working on that. He is moving better than last year and it's pretty clear McVay recognized it was an issue and they went and got on it big time.
As someone who lives here in the east coast, I want to personally thank you for this video!! Would it be too much to ask for the next game, the rehearsal game by chance?! Pretty please lol![]()
3rd this, pretty please with a plumb cherry on top!I second this!!!
