Thanks again @Alan for putting this together and doing such a great job keeping up with it. You're part of the reason why ROD is the best.

Crazy trade though. But not improbable. I could totally see AP being traded to Dallas.

With the 7th over all pick in the 2015 draft the Bears select OLB Vic Beasley out of Clemson. Lance Briggs is an impending free agent, so Chicago will have to find two new linebackers who can play the interior of the 3-4. Jon Bostic will probably be given another year, but it's not like he wasn't a liability at times. They signed Mason Foster but they can still use help at the position with there new 3-4 defense and Beasley is a perfect fit.

your on the clock @Warner4Prez

Yeah, in the real world, the Vikes would probably get a 5th also but not sure we are even going that far. The Vikes decide to cut ties with AP and any perceived aftermath of his past transgressions. The future in now.

Learned everything I know about running a mock from Mojo so we both thank you for the kind words. :)

If AP plays like he has in the past the Cowgirls will have a crazy good running attack. Even with almost a full year off AP is getting up there in age and he's carrying a huge CAP hit. A third round pick in a weak draft isn't a really high price to pay but I'm not sure I'd do that trade. It's a close call though. Could easily be a good move for both teams.

According to what I read here: http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/dallas-cowboys/cap/ , they're only 2 million below the CAP so they're going to have to jettison a bunch of players to accommodate AP and sign their draft picks. That site is really hard for me to read so I might be way off base with that figure.

Hotlanta selects: Alvin 'Bud' Dupree DE Kentucky.
Dan Quinn needs a lot of help on the defensive front moving into Atlanta.
Stale vets like Kroy Bierman and Tyson Jackson don't offer much in terms of pressure. Dupree would allow Quinn to move Jackson inside on passing downs giving him some additional firepower to get after the QB. I'd envision a full on defensive over haul in this draft as he looks to fix a very underwhelming group.

@BonifayRam is on the clock. Some lucky o-lineman is eagerly awaiting Goodell to call his name...

 You never know with this crowd.

Not enamored with that pick eh? Which team do you think made a mistake?

The fact that it didn't take place on April Fools Day might have been a clue.;)

Speaking of that AP trade and the CAP:

Cowboys restructure Tony Romo’s deal yet again for cap room

AP
Tony Romo didn’t take a pay cut to help keepDeMarco Murray.

But coincidentally, his latest restructuring creates enough cap room to make room for the guy who could be his next running back.

The Cowboys have restructured Romo’s deal yet again, creating $12.8 million in cap space this year. A source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT that it wasn’t a negotiated restructuring, but an automatic conversion of $16 million of Romo’s base salary to a signing bonus. His salary for 2015 becomes $1 million.

Granted, that just pushes (yet again) prorations into the future, and whenever the time comes for Romo to be an ex-Cowboy, he’ll be their biggest cap hit for at least a year beyond.

They’ll tack on another $3.2 million worth of cap charge to each of the remaining years of his extension.

And while they might not turn the short-term savings into an Adrian Petersondeal, it is a happy coincidence that the wantaway Vikings running back has a $12.75 million salary coming his way this year.

I’m sure the two aren’t connected.

Right?

Well for me it was between getting AP or Todd Gurley, but based on the previous mock draft, Gurley wasn't going to be there by the time I picked. After inquiring about how much it would take to trade up, I decided AP was a better option. If he produces his salary won't even be an issue.

Great pick, I think Dupree is one of the most underrated guys in the draft and I was hoping he'd fall to me

Worst case scenario for the Rams so far...
Perhaps because all of us are apart of a Rams forum. We've given extended looks and shared more dialogue about these prospects. Sure hope it doesn't actually work this way come draft day though!

Mojo Ram in misery:

I'd rather draft Collins. For three reasons:
He can slide over to LT if GR fails to improve substantially. GR could then move to RT.
He can start at RT.
I think we can get a decent guard with one of our next two picks.
