This is a bit of a surprise to me, I had him pegged for the bottom of this round or early 2nd!

I personally expected the Panthers to address a bigger need then receiver. Strong seemed to be early for me too. some really good players on the board at that pick like Marcus Peters.

I don't know the Panthers needs but I think Strong was a very good pick their. Everyone sees him as a speed guy who has good size. He is strong and uses his size well. I think he just needs better coaching to refine his game. Cossell said he has a lot of wasted movements and if he tightens that up he could be very good. I agree after going back and watching highlights.

I have an idea that might speed the picks up. Unfortunately, it won't work in this mock. I'll just throw it out there and see what you guys think about it.

Next time, prior to assigning teams to those wishing to participate in the mock, I, or whoever is running the mock, will ask each potential GM what time of the day they feel they normally visit the ROD. That way, we can group the mockers who come to the site at around the same time together. Hopefully that will cause a bunch of picks to be made within minutes of each other. If the guy with the #5 pick comes on in the morning and the guy who makes the #6 pick normally comes on after work in the evening, you have a built in delay. I'd like to eliminate that.

Of course, that won't help much if the mocker on the clock is waiting to see if someone wants to trade up but I'm thinking about that problem too. As should everyone who wants to improve our future mocks.

Just a thought. :)

I think tahoe is either MIA or waiting until the last minute to see if a trade proposal pans out.
