And remember the Rams generally pay top dollar for players they want on their practice squad so they usually win in a bidding war.
You sure about that?

I thought Practice Squad players, with less than 2 or 3 years of experience, earn the same amount per-week, regardless of which team they are on.

Thought there was some compensation flexibility but only players with two or three years of experience.

Is this a credible source? There is no news of this anywhere?

I ask because I haven’t seen any news about the Rams practice squad signings yet

There are a lot of things that Rams fans should move on from, some have been lingering for decades. So unless youre a perfect person with no Rams regrets how about we stop being hypocrites and let people discuss this latest draft pick that moved to a rival.

Cantor is an excellent Rams source. Not saying this is absolutely correct but yes he's reliable.

I look at it this way: rather than bitch about the Rams losing a player they traded up for but eventually didn't want, they found a better linebacker in undrafted Dolac. So the Rams win in this case. Hags can eat all our scraps. So Rams traded up, but end up with a solid linebacker anyway.

Of course he is.

Here's the kicker if Reeder was released he'd clear waivers and be bagging groceries at ALDI.

That's so bloody wrong.

He'd be bagging groceries at fucking Safeway, dammit!!

Geez, can't believe you'd say such a thing ...

Let's not pretend this isn't a big loss. Paul was a draft pick this year that we traded up to get. He was rated fairly highly by us. We expected him to potentially start and at the very least provide depth for us.

I'm immensely disappointed by this news.
I'll tell ya, when our season is derailed....or our future is derailed.....by the loss of a 5th round ILB, then we weren't any fooking good anyway apparently. Big loss? Come on!!!!

Exactly ! And in theory, the trade-up and subsequent 5th Round pick can just be considered to be Dolac instead of Paul. No big.....

But I'll give the naysayers their say, if Paul turns out to be a good NFL player then all discredit goes to McSnead.

Every draft pick is a gamble. The Rams have been doing very well lately. In fact they have the rest of the picks on the team. Plus a udfa. The one we should be disappointed in is Lampkin. He showed real flashes. Paul, not so much.
Yeah I'm definitely more sad about Lampkin but keeping Reeder hurts just as bad haha

and stop talking about Creed!

If it was a big loss we wouldn't have cut him.

I disagree on the last part.

He's not good enough *right now* to be on an NFL roster. No one claimed him and he signed with someone else. There's no mistake about his value at this immediate moment.

Pooh could be a decent player down the road, and that would be a bummer, but if Dolac is playing better on D and STs... right now, there's nothing to be angsty about.

An interesting question still left out there...

Why did Paul sign with the Hags? Because he wanted to, or did the Rams tell Paul no, we don't want you?

Anyone know?

So your solution is to bitch about people bitching about something.

Brilliant

I wonder if the team decided not to bring him back after his dad made a big fuss on twitter

I'm just thinking there should be a way to develop guys like him without losing them to a hated division rival.
I'm in the "we gave up on him too soon" camp.

I believe this will end up biting us in the ass. I don’t see why you would invest in a draft pick(we traded up to get him) to just toss him aside after one single off season. Do we not believe in developing players anymore?
