I hope that source is wrong wrong wrong because I do not want to have to deal with Reeder being on the team the entire year.

Best thing that happened to the 1 - 5 Rams last year was having Reeder get injured.

Saved their season.

Do they still have Jones also? To bad they still didn't make the playoffs. I guess we will still get by.

So he went unclaimed and the Rams still didn't sign him back. And remember the Rams generally pay top dollar for players they want on their practice squad so they usually win in a bidding war. So this, along with McVay's comments yesterday, tells me they did not like something about him. This just smells like that classic "player got the coach speak as they politely threw him out the door" treatment that seems to happen once or twice a season.

If that's the case I'm fine with losing Pooh. If he's not a fit he's not a fit. Whether it's locker room or physical doesn't matter.

A guy who couldn't make the team warrants his own thread?

Again... I guess this shows how great a job the Rams are doing with the roster, overall, if this is where people are focused.. angst over losing a 5th ILB.

Let's not pretend this isn't a big loss. Paul was a draft pick this year that we traded up to get. He was rated fairly highly by us. We expected him to potentially start and at the very least provide depth for us.

I'm immensely disappointed by this news.

Every draft pick is a gamble. The Rams have been doing very well lately. In fact they have the rest of the picks on the team. Plus a udfa. The one we should be disappointed in is Lampkin. He showed real flashes. Paul, not so much.

He got beat out by an udfa. Let’s try to move on and not overblow a guy that was beat out by a better player.

It shows that our hierarchy is not insecure about a mistake made in evaluation. A lesser organization holds on to Paul REGARDLESS of how he plays in practice and preseason to try to justify the trade they made. Rams just move forward and take the best man for the job.

And like someone said earlier, Paul wasn't beaten out by Reeder, he was beaten out by Dolac.
