Which is why this is a 3 party transaction: 1. Rams, 2. Trading team, 3. Stafford. There is no trade unless all three agree.We’ve been down this road in the other thread.
Stafford isn’t retiring. He’s committed to playing. If Rams trade him and he retires, it doesn’t screw the Rams it screws the team that trades for him.
Rams won't trade him for pocket change. The trading team won't pony up high value trade compensation unless they can work out a deal. Stafford won't work out a deal to a destination he doesn't want to play.
If all parties can't "win" the trade, there is no trade.
