Should had played Wichmann. From what I saw he was never moved back in the preseason.

With this make-shift OL the offense struggled to move the ball. Hav was a big miss.
didnt wichmann have an injury that set him back in preseason?? maybe he's not as acclimated to the plays as Donnal is.

Meh, we had time to throw in the 1st half... moved the ball too....It was the second half....I'm gonna re-watch the game.....Still, the first play of the game was telling....plain obvious miss...on a pre-planned play...how do you miss that? Scripted play...and you still don't see him? Time to throw and you still don't see him...yall get where I'm going with this...
Donnall survived but he's not a superior player to Wichman...Didn't like Reynolds starting ever, he's an in-game replacement....keep him ready to fill in anywhere, during the week get someone ready....Williams shoulda played RT....Wichman LG....But the line looked okay...not dominant, but okay...they were all in the box, passing game shoulda killed them...missing throws all game long...need a wr that Foles trusts...or better, get him outta the starting lineup, play a QB that wants to complete a fucking 3rd down pass...

Our whole offensive philosophy is built on P/A big plays. Nobody, disrespected that more, to this point, than Minnesota. And yet, with no fault to the WR's, or the OL,..... we didn't see it?? on at least a couple, game changing plays??? I'm talking about specific, set up, game philosophy plays, when the blocking, the receivers, and the defense, did EXACTLY what we wanted. Didn't see it, didn't throw it. Sorry, I can't get over that obvious point. Anybody, find an excuse for that. Please, educate me, with one that makes any sense.

Either very lucky with Reynolds or unlikely with Saffold (what seems like an endless stream of bad luck with Saffold, aka the one armed man).

We've also been lucky with Tim Barnes, that he's for the most part up to the task. We're not winning battles there but we're not losing badly. That was a big risk coming into this season too.

It's amazing to me that Donnal got such a bad grade, and I dislike these guys and their rankings as much as anybody, yet Fisher in tonights presser said Donnal played well enough to get a game ball if the Rams had won.

Wow, that might explain why they didn't play Wichmann. It would seem to me that he has more experience at guard.

Yeah, tough spot for Donnal.
I expect him to improve as time moves along. First start on the road vs a good front.
He got his feet wet, so, time to move forward. Cant be down on a rookie lineman who had some struggles in his first action.

Wait, Havenstein was just out for yesterday's game, correct? Also, Reynolds has filled in for Saffold quite well, so that's one piece of Veteran depth on the OL.
Would appear that Havenstein has a decent chance to return to the lineup next Sunday. But should not Boudreau be better prepared to have a better solution other than Andrew Donnal?

To answer your last question .....First injury event.....The first vacant post was at OLG, once Saffold went IR, Boudreau ordered Brown to be flipped from OLG to Rodger Saffold original ORG posts due to ongoing brain fart issues with OLT GRob. Now to help with GRob farts Garrett Reynolds our main reserve ORT was then inserted into Jamon Browns original OLG post. One OL goes down we get two OL changes.

Next injury event phase of moves was when Rob Havenstein was unable to continue in the 9ers game Darrell Williams was inserted @ ORT. During the week of practice Williams failed to win Boudreau's trust & then Reynolds was moved again to starting ORT. Then Andrew Donnal who was primarily a OT in college & worked mostly as Havenstein's back up was inserted into OLG post which was Jamon Brown's season opening stating post. Once again one post goes down we get another two OL changes. How can we stop that?

Havenstein's damaged back ankle (Achilles) usually linger the rest of the season until fully immobilized & rest fixes it. What happens when Havenstein goes out again? Do we want to move 2/5ths of your OL to continue again?

The OL needs to settle on in with these young OL'ers staying put & learning play by play their trade. Place these youngsters in their best position to perform at their best level during the game. Injuries are going to happen but Boudreau is playing his best reliever (Garrett Reynolds) as a starter. He does not have a capable instant plug any longer thus we get unsettling & fatal OL post to post movements. Moving this pathetic offense into fail mode.

I been advocating that Jamon Brown return to his original opening season post on the Left side OG. Keep Brown there till the end of the season. Brown's left side performance is much better @ this post. Let GRob fix his own brain farts @ OLT! If GRob does not then have plan ready now to get rookie OLT Isaiah Battle called up & get him late reps in games where we have a good lead to prepare for the low GRob implosion event @ OLT. This should move GRob into working harder on his job on those high damage technical brain farts.

Now you have open Saffold's starting ORG post. I would go with the Rams best ORG candidate who I believe is Cody Wichmann. Now you go into each game with Garrett Reynolds as your instant emergency plug in for most of your OL along with reserves Demetrius Rhaney & Isaiah Battle. We know now that Williams & Donnal are now ready for game day action. OL coach Boudreau has a working Injury Emergency Plan (IMP)ready for the game day attacking injury viruses & the usual following OL post change chills & fevers that puts our offense to bed:seizure:!

I'm not gonna doubt their decision to start Donnal. Granted I have a tendency to believe that Wichmann might have been a better decision to start, but I trust Boudreau.

It's just an unfortunate set of circumstances to face a defense like Zimmer's when you need to juggle your line for a week. Rams are not good enough to overcome that, plain and simple, due to their reliance on Gurley. The OT was absolutely predictable... When the Rams lost the coin flip I knew the Vikes would kick it to them and get the ball back with good field position.

Havenstein was an enormous loss to this line, we need the big dude to be healthy if we want to see this line take some steps forward the rest of the way.

Nah, he did OK. We didn't lose because of Donal. It was a close game. He shouldn't be starting this week. Over it
He just added to the inept O-Line play. Just goes to show how thin we are if we lose a starter.
