Had Elvis never made a movie, I'd lean towards him, but he did. Beatles! George just played his ass off.

Well they're before mine too. I think they were on their last concert tour around the time I was born. I didn't really discover them other than peripherally until after they broke up. Elvis was getting up there in my life too. I remember when he died though. But I'm still a huge fan, I guess just living it only vicariously decades later. I'm a big fan of Mississippi delta blues, Jimmy Rogers, Ella Fitzgerald, and many other oldies too and they came even before. Music can be a way to study history...what was important and what life was like decades ago. And it's interesting what different people bring and how it evolves.

The Beatles led quite a few innovations musically as well.

I was using Elvis and the Beatles here as just kind of a fun Rorschach or personality test. Because they're well known and it seems each of them has distinct personality / style traits.

But the Beattles made some pretty bad movies themselves.

Neil Young made a movie that will blow your mind called The Human Highway with Dean Stockwell, Dennis Hopper and DEVO

John. The song Revolution was originally a 10 minute song on the White album that he decided to split into two with the intention of part 1 as a single. Part 1 featured pre-amped guitar and was an early example of heavy metal. The more avant garde parts with backmasking and other studio magic tricks became Revolution 9. As kids, we used to turn number 9 backwards on the turntable to try to hear the hidden messages like "we buried Paul". Ha

Thanks, Chico! ;) Will have to look for that.

Anytime Cappy
Hahaha
Seriously though it's not great cinema but just a fun watch - you can totally see the 80s cocaine fueled concepts overriding anything remotely resembling good story telling - but it's super cool
This is Neil Young "Trans" era

I like guitars so I picked George. So many Beatles hits revolve around his riffs. Not to mention he had pretty good song writing skills.

Paul. And no, not because it's the best name of the group.
He just had some pretty awesome hits when he fronted WINGS.

Yea, he did write some good stuff with Wings: Blackbird, jet, live and let die, with a little luck, listen to what the man said, etc, etc.

He's a lefty if that makes any diff. The Beatles had that cool look with his bass guitar pointing the other direction. It gave them a symmetry.

While the Beatles tours were before my time, I did get to see Paul live once with Wings. As a ticket booth employee at Arrowhead, I got free admission too...though I didn't actually have a seat. One funny thing was that there was no meat served anywhere at the venue. He's an avid vegan. Hot dogs were tofu instead, etc. It was a fantastic show.

Here's a couple good ones...
