Yeah…. I’m on the “Let’s fix the O Line” Bus. Last season and game one this season the run blocking looked like hot garbage.

.

Anyway, at least he's talking cam up instead of giving some worrying criticism about him.

Yes and I'll take it. Cam's always been a favorite player of mine in his mentality so him whiffing on that pass pro snap hit hard. If he's mentally checked out we're in trouble in that RB room because the rook is hurt again and everything is on Hendy who is better served change of pace not as the bell cow. Either way we need him locked in so I hope we get angry Cam this weekend.

I'd bet that Akers starts this week to give him confidence if nothing else. Now, if the line could create a hole or 2......

I remember when we drafted Cam Akers I ran across some video of him delivering a "wake up call" to a U of M DB who had the angle on him after Cam broke off a long run.

Cam didn't just slip out of bounds but instead knocked the surprised DB on his ass in a way that would have made Earl Campbell proud. You don't often see that from a RB scooting down the sideline.

Which makes that tape of him bailing on picking up the DT concerning. Hopefully just an anomaly.

Wasn't Cam the guy who ran well in college with a bad offensive line? Yeah the pros are different but still. That side step whiff block was obviously a factor in the last game for the calling out. Looking forward to a good game by Akers this Sunday. Really can't get any worse.

Yeah what I've always appreciated about him is the way it's rare to see one guy bring him down on a stop. Usually if he gets tackled by one player he gets another few yards or more after contact.

But what we really need is a back who gets tough yards early and doesn't wilt as the game goes on. The classic bell cow type back will get stronger as the game goes on and the defense tires, so they have to have that mental toughness to endure the tough yard runs early on. All our guys seem to weaken as games go on vs tough fronts. And the back very much affects the OL in how they fire off too. When an OL believes in the back there's a surge and an effect.

Did we just sign a fruit fly!?!?

Rotowire - 3 HRS AGO :

Rivers was signed to the Rams' practice squad Thursday.
Rivers went undrafted out of Fresno State in 2022, and has since spent time with the Cardinals and Seahawks. He now finds another opportunity on the west coast with the Rams. In a corresponding move, fellow practice squad member Trey Ragas was placed on the injured list.
Rivers is 5'9", 195 lbs.

Well - I wonder what the number game looks like?

Here we go again with HENDO.I know most Rams Dans don’t appreciate him. Still will never forget his 3rd down catch in the SuperBowl. (Funny - Mcvay on his French Fries? Come on Campbell Soup)
Speaking of funny - Kareem Hunt isn’t a Mcvay guy as his commercial just came in. KC is on against Chargers & that always makes me think K. Hunt. Then you see they had to let him go,so there’s that. Hard to forget. Maybe he’d be better at punishing One’s granddaughter ? Never know,he seems like a nice guy.
