I guess I am the only one souring on Henderson. His lack of elusiveness and power is a problem in my opinion. If we had a great run blocking Oline then his north south running would have value.
Not sure who is out there but another Sony Michel type that can get the hard yards would be my pick.
We had our chances to beef up the Oline but passed on several occasions. What you reap is what you sow.
I concur Offensive Line is in need now and I felt considering Henderson played well against Buffalo.I'd rather spend the assets to acquire interior offensive line help. Henderson looked good in the opener considering what he had to work with, and is a good 1B or RB2, provided he can stay healthy (which he often cannot, sadly). Robinson has looked good in Jacksonville coming off of a more recent Achilles tear than that Akers suffered, so I think it is a bit early to cut the cord on Akers. He might well regain his pre-Achilles injury form. It's week 2.
Is he premature because Cam Akers could be hurt? If not then what?I think it is.
First off, Henderson looked good. Give him more opportunities and some blocking and he's fine.
The Akers thing is a mystery and sounds like there's something more going on. Hopefully, whatever it is, it lights a fire under him. A rotation of Akers and Henderson should be enough.
kraft is a Brady Fan. Rams were not on there trade list after Sony helped The Rams win it all & beat Tampa Bay doing it.While we're on the subject of acquiring players to bolster the run game, does anyone know why in the world we didn't try to get Shaq Mason when New England gave him away?
I mean all Tampa Bay gave for him was a 5th round pick iirc.
He would be our best interior offensive lineman right now by far.

McVays rule #1: No excrement in the doghouse.Good news is Shelton is a better run blocking center that Allen. I expect our running game to really get going this week as Akers attempts to extricate himself from McVay's doghouse.
Here's hoping. And I hope Anchrum shows us the strength and push up front we've been missing. Maybe they'll gel into something.Good news is Shelton is a better run blocking center that Allen. I expect our running game to really get going this week as Akers attempts to extricate himself from McVay's doghouse.
They need to set goals for the entire unit + the RB’s. Maybe they already do. Idk.The Rams need better blocking.
What will be the tone on this board when they enter the bye week 5-1?
The reason I'm bringing up the adding of a running back is because Williams is out for quite some time and I'm assuming it's going to take him time to get up to speed again. With that said, we have two running backs that have been very vulnerable to injury in the past. I think it's a good idea for the Rams to pursue a running back prior to that happening. It wouldn't surprise me or anyone else at all if Hendo got hurt. By bringing this conversation up I'm not at all saying we shouldn't also spend on the o-line either.
That is what I am hoping for. The overall combo gets better at the run, with Shelton at C and Anchrum in there.Good news is Shelton is a better run blocking center that Allen. I expect our running game to really get going this week as Akers attempts to extricate himself from McVay's doghouse.
