The only time you need to worry about your OL depth is if a starter goes down.Who said lose a couple of starters?
Don't forget that and Staffords a loser!!!! Maybe it wasn't Detroit....oh yes that's right maybe it was!!!!You may be correct, but you really don't know. You don't know what the blocking scheme is in preseason. You don't know what the coaches are looking for. You don't know what the coaches see in practice. You don't know how the player interacts with the other players. You don't know. Now I get the eyeball test. It means a lot to me. I didn't like a lot of what I saw from the oline in the Preseason. but I remember saying, that if Allen is our starting center, we are in a lot of trouble. I also remember thinking, that we would lose the covid game, with so many backups playing. So, what I do know is we don't know anything about the back ups till we see them play with starters in a real game.
Oh by the way, the rams have poor depth, is what every mother fucker with a mic said before last season. Our depth was pretty good.
Question marks don't mean a negative. But hey, they still might get another lineman. Shouldn't stop them from getting OBJ. We will both be happy. Really though, I don't know.Good lord with the ‘you don’t knows”. Apply the logic back onto your assertion and see where it’s gets you. Oline is the rams biggest question mark. Noteboom has been injured often. And everyone here is floored at who made the 53 for online depth.
They needed that just to get under the cap for the 53 man roster + PS.We know OBJ is going to sign now the only question is when right?
I'm still wondering about that roster move we made a few weeks ago to create $3M in cap space..
I think it is wise to wait on best way to spend remaining cap dollars.
Fitting in OBJ this year, is probably doable… but not sure how we can afford a multi year deal. As we get into the season a greater need than WR may emerge, too.
But, the Rams and OBJ seem to be signalling a desire to be together.
After the injured reserve, pup and practice squad players we don't have a lot of cap anyways. Somewhere just under $2 million right now.I think it is wise to wait on best way to spend remaining cap dollars.

Probably not the right thread for his but how much dead cap are they at this year? This is the last year for Goff's salary... correct? After the injured reserve, pup and practice squad players we don't have a lot of cap anyways. Somewhere just under $2 million right now.
$16 million ish of dead cap of which none is Goff. Robert Woods is $12 million and Whitworth is $2 million.Probably not the right thread for his but how much dead cap are they at this year? This is the last year for Goff's salary... correct?
Goff's $ came-off the Rams' books last year. No Goff $ on the Rams' 2022 Dead-Cap-$Probably not the right thread for his but how much dead cap are they at this year? This is the last year for Goff's salary... correct?
Not really interested in the cap, but someone mentioned 2 million and I was wondering how much dead cap the team was at. Wasn't it like 50 million last year???It's tough to just throw-out a few #'s, and really have a grasp of a team's cap situation (if that's your interest).
$49.5 million last year. Not really interested in the cap, but someone mentioned 2 million and I was wondering how much dead cap the team was at. Wasn't it like 50 million last year???
Understood but the Dead-$ directly impacts the cap since it counts against the salary-cap.Not really interested in the cap, but someone mentioned 2 million and I was wondering how much dead cap the team was at. Wasn't it like 50 million last year???
Agreed. We wanted Miller back. We didn't get him. So how can we possibly make up for that loss? Go out and get a lesser edge guy? We got those already. No, go get maybe the best inside linebacker in the game today. Beef up another part of the defense, which will make everything better. If you can improve your team you do it. Saying that our WR group is already loaded and we need to work on our perceived weakest group is I suppose one way to go. But if you can make a group really elite, you can beat teams with it.
I remember when we signed AD. People complained because our D-line was a strength (maybe our only one). That defense probably was the only reason we won the games we did.
Bringing in someone's cast off O-lineman is not going to help this team. Bringing in a truly elite weapon that can get open before the rush gets there and make defenses pay, will.
Not sure if his downfield blocking abilities are there yet, but he's definitely got the receiving skill set.Honestly I would start McCutchen against Buffalo. I truly think he is that good another Kupp who slipped through the cracks.
