I don't agree, sadly. Minnesota has to rightly be the scariest NFC team, they've earned that and Philly's dropoff in losing Wentz seals it.

Rams would be the second scariest team IMO, but have taken a huge hit with the loss of GZ. I think they are capable of beating Minnesota if McVay improves his gameplanning vs Zimmer (who schooled him pretty good in the first matchup), but that kicker might end up sealing the deal, we'll see.

Either way I just want to see the Rams survive to play Minny for all the NFC marbles. IMO they're the two best teams in the NFC given the Eagles' loss of Wentz.

disagree...The Rams are finally urilizing Gurley as they should, as seen vs the Hawks and Titans...Screen game when they load the box/blitz and running the ball when they don't. Gurley MUST have enough touches and that's what Nick Wright is saying, is when the Rams are their "highest selves," there is no one who can beat them. Especially the Vikings, who MCvay now knows and will game plan the freak out of.

I actually agree with both of you. TBH not being a Rams fan and just looking at things the Vikings are the best team by record, home field advantage, and the next is the Rams.

There is no dispute ( or shouldn't be one ) that the reason we lost to the Vikings, Eagles, and the Seashits was because we didn't utilize Gurley enough. Ofc there were other factors at play but that was the main one.

One thing I love about McVay is he is innovative but smart and knows how to adjust quickly. (as opposed to 'let's play this way 5 games, ohhh we are 1-4 i might need to adjust") He realizes what he did and sees the results from his mistakes and his adjustments.

I honestly feel our only TRUE competition is the Vikings, but I'd rather face them in the Championship than a round of the playoffs.

On a side note, I feel the team with the best shot to BEAT the Vikings BEFORE us is the Panthers who I want them to and knock them out so we have a chance of a home Championship game vs the Panthers! Hopefully the Football Gods make this so...

For me the team I'm most nervous of playing in the Aints.. Will have both starting CBs back I assume, Brees factor, Lutz and Asshole Face is still a very good coach. They could possibly run the ball down our throats as well. Some how Case Keeum doesn't do it for me, he still needs to "prove it to me"..

Am I wrong in saying that I like to share these Rams with no one but true Rams fans who have been through hell with this franchise? I love a little press but I'm actually tired of everyone jumping on the bandwagon of the Rams saying they the best they are a powerhouse blah blah blah when it was most of the same people saying goff a bust Gurley lost a step terrible franchise Yada Yada yada ......to me while acknowledgement is good I just think everyone talking them up is just trying to be bold. I think this team is very good I am nervous as hell and of course they have a shot but I feel they still early and young with that being said true Rams fans are the ones who could should comment and share in all this not bandwagon fans or bandwagon analysts/hosts.....just my feeling wondering if anyone out there feels the same or f I'm just a selfish prick lol

The worst thing the McVay and Rams could do would be try to get the 4th seed. That would go against the we not me, play to win, next man up approach that McVay and the entire staff have instilled in this team. Just because McVay is sitting some key starters does not mean he is conceding the whiner game to get the 4th seed. The staff will have the players that are playing as prepared as they have for each of the previous 15 games.

I think the Rams can go on the road and beat any of the teams from the NFC. So it is just a matter of playing this weeks game and then when we find out who we play next we prepare just like any other week, rinse and repeat til they are SB Champions.

Carolina kicked our ass and ACL’d our QB last time we played. #8 was having a pretty good game.

Need to handle Cam’s dual threat game, I believe.

As I recall, Rams would match up well offensively against Panther D.

Tough match-up

Don't forget they acted like jackasses the whole game. I even hated them more than the cheats after that game, if that's at all possible.

Carolina doesn't scare me at all. I like that matchup for us and I think the Rams do too otherwise they wouldn't be resting starters.

Atlanta isn't as good as they were last year offensively, but their defense is much closer to that <19ppg where you want to be in the playoffs. Carolina's defense gets more cred, but both are giving up 20.3ppg.

Toughest matchup is definitely Minnesota. For the Rams to beat them they need to be more productive on offense than they were last time and that will be very difficult in Minnesota with the fans boosting an excellent defense (12.9ppg at home). Plus we lost GZ, which makes that equation even tougher.

I think he wants to win with our back ups, but without any of our star players makes that almost impossible and he knows that. He also is smart enough to know that this scenario probably means the 4th seed..*shrugs. He is trying to keep guys healthy and that is "we, not me."

Yep, we'd have to run on Minnesota. That was our problem last time we played them. We couldn't get the running game going. However, over the past three weeks, we faced off against three teams ranked in the top 10 in run defense. Philly was actually #1, and Tennessee was top 3.(Seattle was near the bottom of the top 10, IIRC) Gurley averaged 6.5 yards per carry across those three games and ran for 366 yards and 5 TDs.

If our OL continues to block like they have and Gurley runs like he has, we'll be tough for anyone to beat.

People say that the ancient Vikings plundered and pilligged and that the fans in Philadelphia are even worse. Well I want the rams to go into their stadiums, slap the beers outta their hand's, eat their mascots, and have their way with their women!!

We all think those 2 losses were games the rams coulda shoulda won and now they have the chance to right those wrongs. Let's show who the better team is and lets do it when the stakes are all in!

Don’t worry. My magic 8 ball says we win the SB. So there. Anyway. Even if we lose there’s still a possibility we stay a three seed. If the Bucs beat the Saints and Falcons beat the Panthers, we stay put at three and play Atlanta and then the Vikings potentially. The question is, what if other teams 4-6 also want to rest players and tank their games for a better matchup with the Eagles or to avoid us? I’m still looking at it, and it’s highly unlikely, but a spit-balled thought nonetheless.

I'd say Carolina and then NOLA. Carolina is the epitome of inconsistency; they're world beaters one week, and chumps the next. I guess it all depends on which side of the bed Newton wakes up on.

I say NOLA because they're healthy, they've got two stud running backs and of course, Drew Brees.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Vikings nor Philly make the NFC championship game. The NFC is stacked.

Yeah, I would agree. Not a wide margin from number one to number six. Its pretty wide open. We could lose in the first round or we could go on to the Superbowl. Or somewhere in between. Its anyone's guess at this point.
