All kidding aside...Foles cannot run like Montana...but he has Montana like "escapability"...and with a young offensive line that's very important.

Dude has some wheels I didn't know he had! Of course it's not like Mike Vick or Cam Newton but he's decent with his mobility to get firsts and steer out of traffic.

I refuse to believe he'll do any worse than Pick 6 Davis or Over the Hill Shaun. I'm really excited about this year gents!

I re-watched Nick Foles play 49ers last season. I request you all not watch it and just hand me over that kool-aid that guys are drinking!

Not trying to be a Debby downer but this is a highlight reel. I didn't make it past 1:12. It's not showing all his throws when he was pressured just the good ones that he completed or got some sort of p,ositive yards. I sure hope we get the 2013 foles but we shall see shortly.

I know this is a highlights video, but I have to be honest, he moves and runs a lot more than I've noticed before, loving the get out of jail scramble that he seems to have - i honestly hadn't noticed that before and he seems very light on his feet which is nice to see too - he looks like a starting quality QB and I'm really excited to see one of those wearing a Rams uniform this year, it seems to be what we've been lacking for a while now.

The 49er game (and Dallas game) is the one people point to in order to demonstrate that Bradford isn't any good. But let's be honest. All the defenses in the NFCW have a tendency to make opposing QBs look like shyte.

I'm not worried about a poor showing here and there if it's against a defense that is specifically designed to make you look poor.

Yeah, highlights are designed to show the good. If someone posted lowlights we'd be saying something different. Every QB has lows and highs. I just hope his highs outnumber the lows enough to win.

In those clips he's showing good feet, pocket awareness, and is processing the field well.

That was my impression, too. He appears to be very aware of where pressure is coming from, and where to find his receivers.

Well, nobody is as good as their highlight reel. To me the the big thing is that if he has shown he can anticipate pressure frequently and do well much of the time, he can learn to do it even more of the time - he has the basic mental skills, it's now a matter of learning to do it more consistently. He's not one of those young qbs who just doesn't have the field awareness needed to succeed in the NFL. Now it's a matter of him being coached up. But he has the basic mental skills and basic mobility needed to do reasonably well at least in the NFL, which puts him ahead of a large percentage of prospects - and often which ones have it can't be identified until AFTER they are drafted, which is why there are so many first round QB busts.

I don't expect Foles to be a star with the Rams (though it would be nice) but I do think there's a very good chance he'll do well enough in the Rams' system to be a very effective QB with their defense and running game.
