Yeah, that didn't happen for me in 1995 for MLB... but whatevs.

Different times; different situations. Even the almost-stoppage a few years had folks worrying but ultimately everyone came back (probably even the ones that claimed they will never support the NFL again watched every game possible).

Maybe but they will definitely lose some fans. I for one really don't care, if they stopped for 3 years straight I would be in front of my TV on that 4th year cheering my team on Sunday. Just love it to much to stop. I will quit football the day I die lol

Exactly; this country is obsessed with football. I think if people looked at the real world how many actual fans out there, rather than the small internet crowd, that this is sport is as popular as ever. Even if those people follow through and don't ever come back, that number is so small it won't even have a noticeable effect.

I saw t happen, which you disregard as a comparable. We lost a season and a World Series in 1994. Lose a season and a Super Bowl in an environment where experts say viewership is declining for the NFL.....Roll the dice, NFL...Are you willing to do that? (NFL).
