They'll be coming off a bye and us a short week.
Have the schedulers always been this incompetent and I just never noticed?

What makes zero sense to me is that somehow we had two Monday Night games, and each time, our opponent the next week had a bye. So TWICE we have a short week when dealing with an opponent on extra rest - thankfully the Rams will be super motivated to beat down the Niners, and they'll be starting Mullens.

2020 NFL Division Standings

Take a look @ the defensive points by the other NFC teams. Going down these last 6 games into the playoff this Ram defenses started the season like old big 8 cylinder diesel now that it's got warm, lubricated& oiled up the power is just getting up to speed.

NFL Standings 2020: Saints, Rams, Packers Vying For Bye; Bucs Clinging To Playoff Spot (ibtimes.com)

With only one bye for each conference in the new NFL playoff format, securing the No.1 seed is more important than ever. While only a couple of teams are in the race for the AFC’s best record, there is little separation atop the NFC standings entering Week 12 of the 2020 season.

The New Orleans Saints (8-2) are the NFC’s current No.1 seed with six games remaining on their schedule. They have little breathing room with the Los Angeles Rams (7-3), Green Bay Packers (7-3) and Seattle Seahawks (7-3) right on their heels.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-4) aren’t far behind New Orleans, but the Saints own the tiebreaker after sweeping its season series with Tom Brady and Co. Even with Drew Brees on injured reserve, New Orleans is in the driver’s seat to win its fourth straight NFC South title.

Los Angeles defeated Tampa Bay on “Monday Night Football” in Week 11, giving the Rams the No.2 seed and first place in the NFC West. The Rams currently hold the tiebreaker over the Seahawks, who lost in L.A. in Week 10.

Green Bay might have the best chance to catch New Orleans in the standings. The Packers own the tiebreaker because they defeated the Saints in Week 3. Only one of Green Bay’s remaining opponents has a winning record.

The Arizona Cardinals (6-4) are the No.7 seed and the final team in the NFC playoff picture. The Philadelphia Eagles (3-6-1) are the only division leader that doesn’t have a chance to land the top seed.

In the AFC, the Pittsburgh Steelers (10-0) and Kansas City Chiefs (9-1) are alone in their chase for a first-round bye. It’s unlikely that the other two division leaders, the Indianapolis Colts (7-3) and Buffalo Bills (7-3), will catch either one of the top two seeds.

Pittsburgh is the only undefeated team left in the NFL, though they face a difficult upcoming schedule. After the Steelers host the Baltimore Ravens (6-4) on Thanksgiving Day, they’ll have to face the Bills, Colts and Cleveland Browns (7-3) before the regular season concludes.

Kansas City still has to visit Tampa Bay, New Orleans and the Miami Dolphins (6-4) this season. Including last year’s playoffs, the Chiefs are 17-1 in their last 18 games overall.

A week after the Arizona Cardinals sat atop the NFC West in a three-way tie, there is a new division leader. At the conclusion of Week 11, the Cardinals have gone from first place to third and the Los Angeles Rams are now the division leaders.
Here is what the division looks like now.
  1. Los Angeles Rams 7-3 (1-1 division)
  2. Seattle Seahawks 7-3 (2-2 division)
  3. Arizona Cardinals 6-4
  4. San Francisco 49ers 4-6
Seahawks 28, Cardinals 21

On Thursday night, the Seahawks avenged their Week 7 overtime loss. The Seattle defense, previously the worst in the league, held the No. 1 offense in the league to 314 total yards. They held the Cardinals, who were the league's No. 1 rushing team, to only 57 yards on the ground. The Cardinals were penalized 10 times for 115 yards and two penalties cost them six points directly. Arizona goes on the road in Week 12 to take on the 4-6 New England Patriots. The Seahawks will be on the road as well. They take on the NFC East-leading Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night. The Eagles lead their division at 3-6-1.
Rams 27, Buccaneers 24

The Rams held the Bucs to 251 total yards and Jordan Fuller picked off Tom Brady twice, including in Tampa Bay's final drive of the game. Rams quarterback Jared Goff was picked off twice but threw three touchdown passes. The Rams will host the 49ers in Week 12. San Francisco was idle in Week 11.

Denver and Vikes are gelling a bit and their Ds are coming together.

Wait... that didn't come out right...

Wait... I'll stop.

considering the standings, the Wash-Dallas Thanksgiving might be worth watching, or at least falling asleep to after dinner

Watching Wash/'Boyz could be compared to being stranded on an elevator for 3+ hours....LISTENING TO MUZAK !!!

I keep seeing Rams have a hard schedule ahead. Well

Niners, Cheaters and Jets losing Records.

Hags,we beat them once we can do it again.

It all comes down to how we handle the Cards imho.

Out of the next 6, games, we have a Legit chance of winning 4 or 5 NFC West champs it is.

I see that Washington has jumped into the #4 seed. Don't look now but they also have moved into the 5th ranked defense in the NFL in the yards/game category. 8th in ppg allowed.

That #5 seed (currently Seattle) matchup doesn't look as tasty as it did when Philly was sitting there IMO.

If Alex Smith can find his Mojo like he did in KC when he had the highest passer rating then the Football Teamers might be a dark horse to watch. They are still a few players away in my book, but the Defense is looking good.

McLaurin is seriously legit.

The bye would be an easier opponent than the Football Team.

Rams currently #2 seed in playoffs!! Woooo!

Only team ahead of us in the conference is the Saints... and Brees has ELEVEN broken ribs.

Yeah the Rams have a tough sched ahead, but it’s been awhile since the Rams owned the #2 seed this late in the season!
LOL. We were in this exact spot in 2018. Chasing the Aints even......

The front four, man. Any front four with Young and Sweat would be good, but they also have Payne, Allen, Ioannidis, Kerrigan, and Settle. That's some of the best depth at the position in the league. McLaurin's a beast, as is Gibson. If they get a legit quarterback, more weapons, and pieces in the secondary, they'll win that division for years to come.

The Washington no names have a very outstanding promising Defensive Line. FIVE First-round picks invested in that DL is unknown in modern times. If they ever find a secondary they would be @ the very top. Good place for JJ III & Troy Hill to go. This team will have over $50 in cap space next season.
