Every Super Bowl is that wayEven the Super Bowl was 50/50, although I'm sure the NFL was happy for that.
For once? Where the hell you been?I hope the fans pack the stadium Thursday night. It would be nice to hear the roar of the crowd for once.. the 12th man, if you will. The first year stunk because of covid (no fans), and the second year wasn't much better because the opposing teams fans packed the place. Even the Super Bowl was 50/50, although I'm sure the NFL was happy for that. I'd like to see SoFi become a place where the Rams rarely lose, and the team takes great pride playing at home in front of LA fans and celebrities. I'm sure LA will view the Rams differently now, with the dream season they just had, and the players deserve it after putting up with all the BS over the last 7 years or so (the move, the coliseum, and then covid!). Go Rams!
Just watched this video . . .

I most curious about the very end conversation. Josh Allen likes to watch movies and is planning to download and watch a few on the flight over.
He mentions he has never seen Heat (I have not either) and Brandt jumps out of his shoes. "YOu have to watch it! It's the perfect movie. It's set in LA. It's a bank heist." (etc.)
I have never seen this movie. Is it worth watching before Thursday?

You've never seen Heat???^Don't blast me as I am not a movie buff.
That’s why you play the game. I believe 1) our coaches are superior. 2) Our rosters are equal in strength but we have the best closers in Donald, Stafford and Kupp 3) We have home field advantage. The Bills are a lot f folks choice this year. As I listen to all the talk about this game it seem about 55-60% are picking the Bills. The Rams are the underdogs...and Thursday is coming!
Great take. That’s why you play the game. I believe 1) our coaches are superior. 2) Our rosters are equal in strength but we have the best closers in Donald, Stafford and Kupp 3) We have home field advantage.
There's a stat for that somewhere. I remember the Lakers getting their rings and then getting beat on the same night. All that adulation can drop some players' concentration. How can you scowl at the other team when you're getting gifts and praise? Will give the Rams plenty of credit if they can switch from smiles to growls soon after kickoff.Great take.
My big worry is the *possible* differences in state of mind. Rams could be lost a little in nostalgia. It's easy to focus on the present season during practices, etc.. .but when the stadium is celebrating your Super Bowl and putting up banners? It's just hard as a human to not get caught up in that. That, plus a Buffalo team coming off a bitter loss.. could be a bad recipe.
That being said... the Bills are getting blown by every NFL analyst, it seems, and could be reading their own press clippings. They have several new additions on defense that have yet to play together, AND, they're down their best corner and the first-round corner they drafted has looked shitty. If the Rams can protect Stafford.. it could be an ass-kicking.
The 17th game...There's a stat for that somewhere. I remember the Lakers getting their rings and then getting beat on the same night. All that adulation can drop some players' concentration. I'm still curious as to why a game vs Bills is played again this soon. Thought teams play the rival conference every 4 years?
We do, but since there's a seventeen game schedule, we play another team in an AFC division that finished first in their division (since we finished first in our division.)There's a stat for that somewhere. LA is full of transplants. Seeing opposing fans shouldn't be all that surprising. But I can't imagine Bills fans being near the top of that list. I think this one we will see a strong Rams presence. If we keep winning and stay relevant I can see the fan support in the stadium leaning much heavier towards the Rams in time. I don't live in that area. So I don't see the exposure they have there. The marketing department should be making that their number one priority.I hope the fans pack the stadium Thursday night.
