I heard comments recently from a former NFL official [can't remember which one] about this. He said they don't do full-time refs with training/practice making calls all year because they don't have teams playing all year, and therefore can't practice all year.
Yeah... OK..
So taking training using video of recorded plays, wouldn't work??? Like the rest of the world does....

That's a lazy way out...

Maybe the refs could practice their craft during the off season with these gals.

Albert Breer on the NFL admitting to McVay they were wrong... then getting pissed that McVay disclosed the acknowledgment publicly.

Breer says that players have to acknowledge when they mess up. So why shouldn't refs have to do the same?

Sorry, but in America, I like to think that the truth always comes out eventually. That’s all this was is the obvious truth came out. And how did the truth come out last year when it was disclosed that Terry Macauley called the NFL central office to let them know they should reverse the two point play against the Seahawks that was originally called an incomplete pass…..Doesn’t matter other than the truth came out.

I would have thought that both DB Jaylen Wallace & Jaylen McCollough would be better now in their 3rd seasons here as Rams. I have not seen any improvement yet.

Both have played in over 50% of the defensive snaps due to injuries & our DC's defensive calls. Neither has turned their performances upward any better than average at best. Not a promising signal here for this defense. Not saying the PFF grades are the truth at all times to rate our two DB top reserves, but both are below average going into week 4.

I mentioned a week or so back that the very big $$$$ 2026 FA signing of CB Jaylen Watson was just plain disappointing thus far. Now he is injured. Watson PFF coverage grade of 58.7 ranked 51st among 97 qualified cornerbacks, but as we discussed, he was playing in a defense that decided not to utilize his man coverage skills, too. I have to wonder who made the decision to pay a talented man-coverage corner 11 million a yr to NOT do what he does best?

Sometimes I wonder if McDuffie said, I will sign post-trade, if you bring in my friend Watson too... pure speculation on my part, just always wonder how these things go behind the scenes.

Rams secondary needs major help. You can't have Pro Bowlers at every starting post in the salary cap era. But to my eye, we have exactly 1 CB that is even above average (and until Watson finds his form, which who knows if that will even happen now adding an injury to bounce back from, only 1 that even hits the average threshold). Hard to win that way.

So the NFL admits the Rams won the game, so make it so NFL and then fire that referee. He is the same moron who has made that same bad call before costing the Saints a game and playoff appearance.
Rams should be 2-1.

They need to only hire Refs who are HR qualified. Fair and impartial. Its crazy that refs like Ed Hochuli were lawyers. Need more of those types atleast. Investigate but abide by the rules. Shit is crucial the integrity of the game relys on these refs knowing what the fuck they are doing.
Oh, they know what they are doing.

Damn your naive.

The fact that the NFL has not yet taken ownership of their refs and made them full time employees is a fucking joke.

How much income is enough for these fucking owners. You have a serious fucking problem with your product. Pull your heads out of your asses and fix it.
