Been overlooking these when I do click by so figured I'd share. They're all great reads.

Can't recall seeing someone destroying their draft stock quite like Wade did this past year.

Shaun Wade is an interesting player. I think he's more of a safety than a corner, but he definitely has the physicality and athleticism to go out there and perform well at safety or as a big nickel.

Rams have faired (Fuller) well recently with OU secondary players...

I have this fear that the Rams will become enamored with Surratt's mental acumen. He's a nice prospect and all but I'd prefer some other options. I'd rather have this guy for example, he's good vs the run with upside. I've watched most of the LBs who slot up to round 3 late and this guy is my favorite (outside of those guys who will go before we're up). Also guys like this are why I still think Bolton might slide, because he doesn't have that upside:

Also some notes on him in a recent article on the Athletic:

57. Los Angeles Rams: Jamin Davis, LB, Kentucky

The Rams need help on the O-line and at linebacker, and Davis would be a great addition … assuming he’s still on the board. We hear his stock is rising fast. Davis only had one big year of production (making 102 tackles and three INTs in 2020), but the buzz is really building on him. This is a kid who is about 6-3, 235 pounds and is expected to run sub-4.6, vertical jump 38-to-40 inches and broad-jump close to 11 feet. He’s also long and versatile. Even though he was given a fourth- or fifth-round grade by the NFL advisory committee, he will go way higher. Davis was expected to be an impact guy in 2019 but hurt his hamstring right before the season. The word inside the UK program is he has a lot of versatility and would be comfortable playing mike or will. There was a big need at mike in 2020, so he stuck there and shined.

The Coaching Intel

“People talk about the Missouri linebacker (Nick Bolton) as a first-round possibility. Bolton is a very good player, but he’s just a will. This kid can play all three positions and is a better player. He’s much longer, more instinctive and has shown he’s able to do a lot more schematically and adjustment-wise. There’s a play in their Florida game, where (Kyle) Pitts is on the ball and runs an over route and Davis ran right with him and made it look easy. There’s so much upside with him.”

It's so hard. I'm probably too close to have any judgement.

I absolutely loved him before last year, but he was playing with so many good players. Take some of those guys away and throw him outside and he looked like the worst CB in the country. What everyone saw in the CFP was happening all season long.

Safety probably does make sense

Good read on Meinerz. I don’t suppose there’s any way he is a Ram but that kind of drive can’t be taught. It’ll be interesting to watch his career develop.

Pete Werner is my dude.

He's like Malcolm Jenkins. Add a few pounds and play him as a versatile safety. He'll be very good there.
