Speeding around on the highway in the state of California with a loaded weapon that you don't know who the owner of said weapon now is stupid. Calling me irresponsible for feeling that go right ahead. Doesn't change the fact that what he did was stupid so please go right ahead and label me while excusing him for being stupid.

No need to get emotional about this. Let me ask you if you buy a firearm in California from a private party is that illegal? Say via craigslist or wherever? When you purchase firearms in said there is no way in knowing it was stolen. I'm pretty sure anybody with a average self awareness would not purchase a stolen firearm. That being said, the only issue I see is him having a loaded gun which seems kind of weird to me being a law given the places I have lived. Is this with one in the chamber? Just a magazine in the handgun loaded? Hammer down or up with said rounds? I've searched several areas just researching out of curiosity and find no answers in a statewide ban. It seems to be a local law to this. I could be wrong though.

Just depends on the state. Illinois it is illegal to ever have a loaded gun in a vehicle whether in chamber or a loaded magazine in the firearm. Gun has to be encased, unloaded, and out of "reasonable" reach of passengers. Only exception is if you have a concealed carry license which costs a fee every 5 years and requires 16 hours of training. And for the most part, Illinois does not recognize other state concealed carry permits. But like California, Illinois is a heavy liberal state. It's safe to assume gun laws will be restrictive in them.

He did a lot of his crazy though before meeting her, I read they’d known each other about 4 months before just recently getting engaged. She’s also a recent grad of Chico so probably younger than him.

Aldon Smith arrived at the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department for ankle monitoring Friday with a blood alcohol level of 0.40, Evan Sernoffsky of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Smith immediately was arrested for a violation of his parole.

He appeared briefly in court Wednesday and remains in jail custody, per Sernoffsky, with his next destination likely an in-custody, residential rehab facility.

The list of pending charges against Smith now includes three separate counts of contempt of court. Smith previously was arrested for violating the terms of a protective order arising from a domestic violence arrest and had a bench warrant issued for his arrest after failing to appear at a court hearing.

The former NFL linebacker has not played in the league since 2015 and likely never will again.

Yeah, literally NO ONE is going to try and justify a security failure if a terrorist attack occurred because "we were following EEO guidelines"

Too many have equated those in STAFF jackets working basic security with being a greeter at WalMart.

it is perfectly acceptable under EEO guidelines to have restrictions based on a critical job function.

The idea that security at the highest profile event in the US and one of the top 10 in the entire world (and that includes the Olympics and World Cup which don't occur every year) doesn't include actual, physical crowd control as a MANDATORY aspect of the job is...laughable.

I mean, if that ends up being the case, then that's a security hole that WILL be exploited. Heck, I could think of 10 ways off the top of my head wherein such a hole could lead to catastrophic outcomes. And I'm not that smart...

And I say this as a Service Connected Disabled Vet who had job accommodations when I was able to work. I fully agree that accommodations are very important. AND...not everyone can do every job. A paraplegic cannot be a firefighter. Just...can't. Patrolman... any combat MOS, sewer worker, almost any tradesperson, etc.
