Believe it or not, this game likley will not be critical. It would be great to have, but unless you think the Seahawks are going to win their next 3 (Green Bay, Minnesota, Chicago), then this gane won't matter as long as the Rams beat the Jets & Cards.

The reason is, even with a loss to the Niners, the Rams would have the best division record as long as they beat the Seahawks & Cards. Again, you just need the Seahawks to drop a game to the Vikings or Packers, a longer shot would be a loss on the road in Chicago.

Having said all that, let's win this one tonight, I just don't like Thursday night road games... and the Niners are desperate and out for revenge. A win tonight to me would be super impressive for the Rams.

I really think we win out. The Packers and Vikes are playing well and battling for their playoff spot. Neither wants to visit us in the first round, they’d much rather go to Tampa. The Bears D seems to have given up, but we’ll see if Thomas Brown can turn things around. which is why I legit think the Seahawks go 1-3 the rest of the way.

I see that if we beat the Whiners tonight.

A Rams win will just about knock the 49ers out of contention. Not mathematically but realistically. A Rams loss and it gets tight. Both teams would be 7-7. A game behind the Seahawks. The 49ers do play the Lions. The Dolphins won't be an easy out for them too. Cardinals are doing their late season swoon now.

If the Rams win and it will be really hard for the division to keep them from winning it. They can still win it with a loss tonight. But it will sure make things very anxious for us Rams fans.

We would have same division record... they swept the Cards and 1-1 against Niners & Rams. We would have swept the Niners and split the rest. The Niners would have a worse division record since we swept them and the Cards would be worse since the Seahawks swept them. Plus Niners & Cards still play each other.

I assume conf record is next, but in that instance we would both have 6 conf losses.

Common opponents would yet to be finalized. The games that would determine it.

We beat the Bills, they lost to the Bills.

They beat Miami, we lost to Miami.

We lost to the Packers & Bears, they still play them.

We beat Minnesota, they still must play them.

So we would need them to lose to the Vikings and one of those other two, then we would be tied with them in common opponents.

Overall point differential currently favors them...

I hear what you’re saying and it will be the narrative I endorse should the Rams lose; however, assuming a Ram team that fails to put this dog down tonight will easily beat both the seahawks and zona gives me an uneasy feeling.

My dream scenario is to win 3 straight BEFORE facing the seahawks while they LOSE 2 of the next 3. We will be in good shape then.

Mobile quarterbacks do give us problems. Purdy has been looking to run this year more than before. If the Rams defense is smart, they should force Purdy to his left when he's bails the pocket. He doesn't have the arm or accuracy when running to his left. But to his right is much more accurate.
