It’s going to be at Loyola Marymount in Westchester

Rams training camp

EDIT: It's located at 1 Loyola Marymount University Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90045. Just north of LAX, close to the ocean so shouldn't be too hot.

@bubbaramfan , let's set up a day or two to go out there!

For those that can go, how easy is the drive to attend? Is this location better for the drive?

That’s like 10 mins from where I used to live in Culver City!

Drive from where? LA? It's in LA proper so easy to get to. Just north/west of SoFi.

I live 10 min from it.

Eeeeenteresting, as far as I know, LMU has one soccer field? Maybe two. Rams will need at least two fields.

Definitely way less parking options than Irvine. LMU is teeeeeeeeeeny. Really curious how they're gonna handle the stands there.

Irvine was a better spot probably all around but this is a lot closer to Rams.

Nothing is an easy drive in the LA proper. From Orange County where I live it will be murder going home after attending a practice. But being retired, I guess I have nothing but time any more.

I have only been there once, many years ago when my Uncle graduated from law school. It sure doesn't sound as inviting as UCI! I think I was spoiled by that location.

I'm pretty sure there are fewer Pro-Gaza protesters and fewer Anti-Iranian regime protesters around LMU than near UCI.
While they seem mostly to be on Jeffrey, I ran across one on Culver by UCI.
For those that have driven through it, you know what I'm talking about.

Great news, Loyola Marymount just down the 405 fwy for me. I should be able to make most. Near Marina Del Rey and the beach so it will be lots cooler than Irvine.

Looks like VetRamFan and Ramball will also going so there well be plenty camp reports.

Offense is stacked. Gonna be fun watching the D take shape.

Oh and i will be protesting too. Down with vegi-burgers!

I’m going down to Newport Beach which is close to UC Irvine, so I planned to go. Then they moved the location on me..:weary:

Unless you're coming via freeway, from the North, you just get on Lincoln Blvd or Culver Blvd which goes south and then crosses Lincoln, make a left and then go about a mile up onto the bluffs.

From the east, use Century or another East/West thoroughfare and then make a right at Sepulveda. Just north of the airport, stay to the left toward Lincoln Blvd (at the In N Out) and follow that around the airport and then it bends right to go north. About a mile north and the college is on your right

From the south, just get on Sepulveda and head north using the same instructions as above once you get to LAX

Unless you're coming from way south or the valleys, stay off the freeways and just take surface streets. That used to me my hood... it's faster, even now as Angelenos all seem to be driving on Ambien...

Seriously, was in LA a year ago September (saw the Rams beat the Falcons and got to see SoFi, total bucket list item!) and i was SHOCKED that in the 2 weeks I was there, especially on the west side of LA, everyone drove so sedately! Ten years ago, I remember visiting and the driving was hyper aggressive and insane. I dunno what changed, but damn... was such a shock seeing as I learned to drive there in the 80s and lived there after the Navy for 13 years from 1995-2008

It's an aging population, pot and camera lights, at least in Culver and Bev Hills (the camera lights but I guess the pot and olds too).

Pretty easy access, very near LAX.

Been over 30 years since I was on campus but at the time it was very nice as I recall.

Yeah, it's a beautiful if small campus, for sure. In the early 2000s, we went to a service there (I think it was a funeral?) and it was lovely. We also went in 1990 for a graduation... again, beautiful

I figured the economy had a fair bit to do with it... those tickets are ridiculously expensive and I remember when we left in 2008, the CHP was an absolute force writing tickets... as many as they could.

Hadn't thought about the pot, but yeah, that could be part of it. It's just I remember the "Road Rage 80s" and the "Drive as fast as you can get away with 90s" which seemed to continue into the 2000s, at least when I'd visit, but man... I still can't get over how...sedate... driving the 405 was... coming into CA from AZ on the 10 and then 60 and all that... it was a bit more aggressive, but I saw so many Chippies on bikes, it was kinda crazy.

Florida reminds me of CA in the 80s... and not in any good way (I only mean traffic wise)
